Mara's POVI woke up with a headache and it was like I had a bad hangover. I wobbled as i walked tot he bathroom and saw Wes down the stairs without a shirt on. I stopped in my tracks and looked at his perfect body. He looked so fucking good that I couldn't stop myself from staring. He turned his head my way and smiled at me as he turned so he was facing me. I shook myself out of the daydream and continued to the bathroom.
I shut the door and looked at myself in the mirror. I do look as if I had too much to drink last night but it was just the drugs.
My phone vibrated in my pocket and it was Lacey.
"Hey girl. How are you?" the text read. I smiled as I have missed talking to her.
"Hey love. I'm better. I miss you. Want to hang out tonight?" I messaged back. I really needed some girl time since being surrounded my boys wasn't good for my reputation.
"I would love to. Want to go down to the beach? I've got some drinks we can have." She texted back in seconds.
"I could use some alcohol in my system right now. Meet around 7-8ish?" I texted back. I was so excited to see my best friend again.
"Sounds good! Love you! See you soon!" She messaged back. I smiled at the screen and put my phone away.
I brushed my hair and took my clothes off. I had jumped in the shower and cleansed myself from the hospital stink. Once I was done, I wrapped my hair into a towel and walked downstairs into the kitchen. It was a mess so I went on a cleaning spree. It's gonna get messy again anyways so it was a light clean.
I fooled around on my computer for a while and decided I should run up to the store and get some stuff for mine and Lacey's hangout. I ran out to the garage and tried to open the door but it was locked. I tried the code and it opened. He uses my birthday for everything. The door opened and I looked inside. My car was still there. It was a 2015 Ford Mustang. My grandpa got it for me for my birthday last year. I never drove it because I was still living with my dad and I didn't trust him with it. So I left it at my brothers until I could get out of there. Since I'm out of there now, I am reunited with my baby. I loved driving it. I've only driven it a few times. It's all dusty because it hasn't been moved in forever. In almost 5 months now. I pulled my phone out of my pocket and dialed Drew's number.
"Hello?" his voice rang through my ear.
"Hey Drew, where are the keys to my stang?" I asked looked around the house.
"Oh, I forgot to give those to you. They're in my bottom dresser drawer. Had to hide them from the boys otherwise they would have been driving it everywhere." He said chuckling on the other end.
"Thanks Drew. You couldn't take her for a spin every now and then?" I asked referring to the dust that had piled up on it.
"No, it didn't feel right driving it since it's your car and I didn't want to put any miles on it or bang it up." He said on the other end.
"True. Thanks for keeping it safe for me." I said as I rummaged through his dresser drawers.
"You're welcome anything for you." He said.
"Okay, I'm going uptown. Love you." I said as I hung up. I found the keys. They were tucked inside one of his socks. There were two pairs. I only grabbed one since I only needed the one.
I ran to my room and grabbed my wallet. I ran to the garage and shut the door behind me. I pushed the garage door button and the door opened. I walked slowly over to the drivers side. I opened the door slowly and took in the new car smell mixed with dust. I really need to clean it out. I sat down in the drivers seat and smiled as I missed this car so much. I put the keys in the ignition and it roared to life. It sounded so fucking good that I got chills up my spine. I closed the door and readjusted the mirrors a bit. I plugged my phone in a played my music. I backed out of the garage and the sun hit the maroon hood of my car. I smiled and squealed because I loved this so much. I put the car in drive and sped down the street. I sped up as I heard the engine roaring with life. I hit the freeway and went nuts on the gas. I felt like a street racer as I passed all the cars in front of me. I ran my fingers through my hair as the wind was hitting my face. I raced down the road hearing the roaring coming from my car. I reached my destination of the small mall. I parked my car and took the keys out of the ignition. I got out with my phone and wallet.I closed the door and locked up the stang. I went inside the convenience store and bought bags of chips and some pop. I put them in the car and went towards the liquor store. It's been such a long time since I've been here. I wa;led through the doors and familiar bottles of alcohol called out to me. I walked over to where the coolers were and got some Bacardi Breezers. I went over to the hard alcohol section and got a 26 of Vodka. went to the till and put my stuff down.
"Having a party?" the cashier asked as she put the items in the bag.
"Something like that." I said as I dug through my wallet for money.
"56.89 please." She said as she waited for me patiently. I handed her the money and grabbed my things. I thanked her as I pushed the door open and walked towards my car. I put the alcohol in the back and slid into the drivers seat. I started the engine and left the parking lot and sped down the road once again taking in the fresh air and good vibes.
Wesley's POV
I walked out of my room as I was looking down my phone. I reached the stairs and made my way to the kitchen. It was empty except for Drew and Keaton.
"Where's Mara?" I asked looking around.
"She went uptown for a bit." Drew said as he munched on his chips.
"Oh I see." As I walked towards the TV. As I sat down, I heard a loud roaring noise nearing the house. I furrowed my eyebrows and walked towards the front door. I opened it as walked out onto the step and looked out. A maroon coloured Mustang pulled up into our driveway. I couldn't see who was driving since the windows were tinted.
"Dude, who's driving the Stang?" I asked as I checked out the stang. I looked at Drew and then back at the car. I saw the driver side open and Mara came out with her shades on and her hair down. My eyes widened as I was in shock.
"Uh, who's car is that?" I asked Drew as he stood behind me.
"That would be Mara's car as you can see." He said motioning towards Mara as she made her way around the car.
"She never had that yesterday." I said looking at him. He chuckled.
"Why do you think the garage door was locked?" He said patting me on the back.
"Don't tell me that that's been in the garage this entire time and I had no idea." I said looking at him with disbelief.
"Fine. That wasn't in the garage this entire time." He said smirking.
"Screw you." I said punching him in the shoulder. I made eye contact with her as she looked at me and smiled. I smiled back and winked.
A girl who can rock a sports car like she can, really turns me on.
