Raven had come by later that day to drop off the information sheet. Atalo had told her he was changing clothes, so she had slipped it under the door and walked off.

Although Atalo had told Raven he was getting dressed, he had actually lied. He wanted to be locked up in his room until the following day. During the time when everyone was going to be choosing their vocation, Atalo wanted to shock them by revealing his missing bandage, and hopefully scare those annoying twins.

Picking up the paper off the ground, Atalo scanned the amount of paragraphs it had. It seemed like a large amount to read, so he sat down on his bed and started reading it almost immediately.

Tomorrow, at 9:30am, everyone will gather downstairs to choose their vocation. A vocation often means job — however, in this instance it shall be used as what you specialise in. There are many vocations — some which may spark your interest and some that may not. Each vocation comes with a set of unique skills and abilities that are useful in and out of battle.

For example, if you prefer to be on the sidelines a little bit and enjoy helping people, why not start off as a Priest? Or if you like the rough battle style, how about trying out the Warrior, Gladiator or Paladin vocations? Prefer magic? Well the Mage and Sage vocations are your kind of style! Silent, but a hunter? Why not a Thief or Ranger?

All vocations are available but only one may be chosen! However, you must choose wisely! Unless you have come twenty-one years of age, you can not swap vocations.

You can gather more information tomorrow downstairs. As for now, just read through the list of vocations you can choose.

Atalo turned the paper over and scanned the list. From what he had read, the Ranger and Thief vocations seemed to be the most interesting to him. Although ... he had been a thief once for a short period of time ... and he didn't do that good of a job at thieving.

"Let's see ..." Atalo trailed his finger down the piece of paper slowly, looking at all the vocations.

List of all available vocations:
Minstrel
Warrior
Mage
Priest
Martial Artist
Thief
Gladiator
Sage
Paladin
Ranger

Atalo looked around the room for a pencil. Once finding one under his bed, he began crossing out the vocations he knew he wanted to no part in. So far, these were Priest, Warrior, Gladiator and Martial Artist. That left Minstrel, Mage, Thief, Sage, Paladin and Ranger.

Deciding to leave it at that, Atalo folded up the piece of paper and tucked it into his back pocket.

With nothing more to do, Atalo looked at the books on his desk. None of them caught his attention, but he was bored and he couldn't leave his room.

"Fine," Atalo sighed, picking up a book. "The Best and Worst Swordsman ... It looks boring enough." Still, he began to turn the pages, pushing through each sentence after the next.

The next morning came slowly for Atalo. The night before was harsh and tiresome, but he managed to get through it.

First was Serena. She had visited Atalo once again, asking why he didn't come down to dinner. Atalo lied and said he wasn't feeling well, quickly thinking of a sickness that would manage to drive her away.
