Tyler unglued his eyes from the TV and rolled off the couch. He quickly put on some sweatpants and went to open the door.Tyler was confused why someone was knocking on his apartment door at eleven at night, in the pouring rain.
He unlocked the door and pulled, only to be restricted by the deadbolt. Tyler laughed at his foolishness and unlocked the deadbolt.
When he finally opened the door, his jaw dropped to the floor.
"Hey Tyler." Rain soaked his red. matted hair.
"Josh?" His eyes scanned the darkness outside, looking for something. Anything. "How did you find me?"
"I asked some people around town, but that's not why I came." Josh stepped up on the step, shielding himself from the rain. "I came to apologize."
Again, Tyler looked outside to make sure no one was watching, before grabbing Josh by his shirt and dragging his inside, slamming the door shut.
Josh looked down at his feet. A small puddle of rain was forming in the hardwood floor. "Uh, Tyler, I'll clean-" Josh was interrupted, when the boy grabbed his shirt again, pulling himself into Josh's chest, hugging his arms around his body.
Rain from the red head dripped down onto Tyler's face and rolled down onto the floor.
"Tyler, your clothes." Josh, tried pulling away, but Tyler held on. "Their all wet."
"I got fired."
The sudden sentence made Josh's whole body go stiff. "W-what."
"They called me last night, after I left and told me I was fired."
He couldn't believe it. He had gotten Tyler fired from his job. He still had no clue why, but he was certain it was his fault. "Why?"
Tyler finally pulled away from Josh and looked down, playing with his fingers. "You said my name." He muttered, but Josh still heard.
He understood. Every stripper had a stage name, such as, Bubble Boy Joseph. It Covered up their real identity to keep them safe. Saying his name in front of all those people, was like breaking the forth wall. Except, you couldn't fix it. Tyler could never return to his job and who who would be willing to hire a former stripper!?
"Oh my god. Ty, I'm so sorry, I never though-" Then it hit him. "H-how are you going to pay for food? How are you going to pay the bills!?" Josh was pacing back and fourth, making wet footprints.
"Josh-"
"Tyler, HOW ARE YOU GOING TO-"
"JOSH!"
Josh stopped pacing and stared at the boy. He had never heard him yell and it frightened him. "I'm sorry. I just feel horrible. You needed that job."
"Josh, It's fine I'll just find another job and until then, I can stay in a friends house or something,"
Josh got an idea. Tyler probably wouldn't like it, (Neither would Debby.) but It was worth a shot.
"Stay with me."
"What!?"
"Please. It's the least I can do, after what I did."
Tyler's head ached. He so badly wanted to go with Josh, but he didn't know if he could trust him or not. After all, he did just get him fired. It was an accident. He didn't know.
"I can not believe I'm saying this." He looked up at Josh, who had a huge smiled on his face. "Fine."
"YES!" Josh picked up Tyler and spun him around. After he put him down, Tyler ran off the pack some things for a while.
I can't believe I'm doing this!
