He placed a single sunflower on her grave. It had been a week since her funeral. Dean felt that he was lucky to even be able to move.
He had felt a numbness overcome him since it was announced that she was dead.
The word dead still didn't seem to stick.
While she was six feet under and while he was placing sunflowers at her grave, he felt that she was still alive and kicking. Still lucky to be Lucky Sims.
But the sad and brutal truth was that she wasn't alive and kicking, she wasn't bringing life and happiness to the people who knew her anymore best because Lucky Sims was gone and as for Dean Janson, he didn't want to acknowledge that.
