Skip a lot of action and almost getting eaten by the creatures to when Sam sacrifices himself for the rest and jumps off the railing into the pit of creatures where he activates the bomb. The whole building explodes, killing off a large load of creatures and almost the whole group that went with (Lana, Mort and AJ). Lana searches for what feels like days and she finds Sam, dead.
I don't know about you guys but I'm upset that he died.
Oh wait.
I made that happen.
I am my own enemy.

Chase
Boom.
A sudden rumble breaks through the quietness of the house. It shivers up through the floor, through the legs of the bed, through the mattress, and finally quivering up through my body. I am suddenly awake and I force myself to sit upright. I notice a deflation in the ache of my back, head, and arms. I figure the stiffness of being frozen finally wore off. As I rub the sleep from my eyes, I hear something else... Urgent shouting from downstairs. I can't seem put a face on the voice, but my brain told me it was probably a couple of the guys. At first I thought they were yelling because something broke, but it felt different. They didn't sound angry at all.
They sounded scared.
Lilly stirs on the other side of the room but doesn't wake up. I hope she feels better. She is too little for all this... We all are I guess.
I figure I should probably go and see what's up. I force myself out of bed, my head spinning for a second before I can see straight. I leave the room and close the door as softly as I possibly can behind me so I won't wake Lilly. There is more urgent yelling, clearer this time instead of the muffled tone I heard last time. I hurry to the staircase and almost slam into Ty who is sprinting up the other way.
"Sorry," He mutters, making his way toward the office at the end of the hall.
"Ty wait," I say. He turns around like a whip. There was definitely something wrong. He was on edge about something. "What's going on?"
"Four of us decided to go to the old power plant and bomb it and they haven't come back. We saw the building explode. There was no way they made that big of an explosion on purpose," he explains, eyes darting with anticipation.
"Where's Lana?" I ask, planning asking her who went with. Ty is quiet and the look of anticipation drips off his face and is replaced by a droopy-eyebrowed look that could only be sympathy. "...Ty, where is she??"
"... She went with them."
"C'mon, we've gotta find them quick," Hank mutters as we scramble out of the SUV like rabbits. Vicky, Leila, Lee, Andrew, and Ty follow suit. As I jump out of the car and dizzily look up at my surroundings, I see why we could feel that explosion so far away. All that was left of the old power plant was a crumbling steel skeleton and a momentous pile of debris as large as a tsunami.
"Lanaaa!" Leila hollers. Her voice carries through the air endlessly as she makes her way to our left, circling the pile of debris. As I look longer, I see a number of fires raging through the area. There is a sudden stir of anxiety in my stomach and I hope to God none of them burned to death.
