AAAH! I DIDN'T UPDATE AGAIN!! I will update twice today to make up for it, I am soo soo sorry for all you lovely readers who may have been waiting for an update! Finals week has been crazy and filled with lots of stu-dying and all that jazz, Wattpad just slipped my mind. But anyway, Chase Chapter today, so I will update the King Creature chapter too!
Last time... Lana and Chase finally found her friends, everyone but mrs. Ephri made it. After they get some food, they make some long term plans to keep them alive. A creature is upstairs that they didn't know about, and they hear a shriek followed by a series of flesh-ripping noises. They sprint up to the master bedroom and into the bathroom to see Marissa draped in the tub, blood streaming from her neck, slashes down the side of her face, some of her skin eaten away. Leila cries outside the door while everyone else just stares in shock. They hear a slam of the door and make their way out to the center of the room. A creature jumps out and they fight it and eventually kill it by sending it flying off the second story deck, but not before Chase gets a massive gash on the back of his head and looses consciousness. Lana learns that she is able to heal wounds super fast. They all sleep in the living room that night and Chase has a nightmare about his dad. He reveals his past to Lana, and they sit out the night together.

After Marissa's funeral, everything was pretty quiet for a while. I became pretty good friends with Mort and Vicky, and became... not really friends with Sam. I didn't like him and he didn't like me and I didn't even know why, it was just kind of like that. Turns out Lana did have a thing with Sam. Did. I'm guessing he hates me cause I "stole her" from him which makes me kind of annoyed because it's not like he owns her. I have just as much right to like her as he does.
Over the past few days, we made some makeshift barricades on the house. During the day we didn't worry about it much... We had a plan if the creatures attacked us during the day. At night, however, was a different story. I've always been a little scared of night-- that was always when Dad would get drunk and angry... And you know where that leads. I was exposed to some pretty scary stuff when I was younger too. Dad used to be a detective just before things... went wrong for him. And when they did, he told me all about the people he hunted. Crazy people. Some really messed up stuff. That was when I became scared of the dark-- what was in the dark. A psycho killer could be waving their knife in my face and I wouldn't even know. I guess it's still the same... A creature could be staring me down with those haunting blood red eyes or catching my scent and chasing me down... which they probably were. I knew they were smart. They could talk, they could think of a plan and carry it out. Actually, I wouldn't be surprised if they knew exactly where we were, exactly who we are, exactly what our weak point was, and exactly when to strike. Little did I know that would be all too soon.
"So who'd you guys find?" Mort asks with a mouthful of pancake.
"Mort don't eat those yet!" She scolds. "We found four more," Vicky answers, afterwards snatching the pancake from Mort.
"Names?"
"Quinn was one of them," Sam says.
"There was Hunter too," I say.
"And we found Ty and his little sister," Lana adds.
"Cool. Can someone go tell them the pancakes are ready?" AJ asks, sounding a bit annoyed. Vicky says she'll go and get them. She goes bounding up the staircase. Lana walks over to AJ and asks her something about why she's annoyed. The answer involved something about Hunter and Quinn.
Vicky comes back down after a few minutes, followed by a stampede of other kids. Hunter and Quinn cackled about something as they walked toward the kitchen. Owen and Bree were silent, and Ty talked to Lilly with a small smile on his face. There was a large cluster of littles straggling behind them.
