Niklaus's POV
(Bet you weren't expecting that!)
My father had been awfully quite he had been gentle with me . That never happened perhaps it was ella I had to thank or perhaps there was yet another game he was playing . I thought back to my talk with jaxon he was a pleasant boy but he had this edge to him and a deeper soul than one would think.
Flashback
"What are you doing ?" I looked up to find the voice that has snapped so darkly at me . Jaxon I believe his was one of Ella's brothers. "Carving , would you care to join me?" I asked
Rather nervously I hadn't been caught by anyone other than Rebekah .
"Hm" was the only response I received before he slid down the tree at my side . Took out a hunting knife and started to carve from a large branch on the ground.
We sat in a silence that was comfortable for a while until he began to speak . What was it about his voice that made me listen I could not tell you . But the way he spoke in that moment made me treasure every syllable.
He took my carving from my hand.

" when we carve we are expressing art is something you must treasure Niklaus for when we die everything we once owned will belong to another everything we once thought ours will belong to another even your family Niklaus they will Marry and have children and have their own family and then belong to another but art Niklaus art! That is something that will always belong to you every stroke of brush every slice of wood every line of sketch is yours and your alone !"
He then handed me back my carving.
"There are few who will ever understand my family Niklaus , few who will ever see the meaning behind our art . That is what haunts my family . No one will understand for how can one dance with ones demons when they are in fact dancing with the devil "
I was mesmerised by his words and it wasn't until he brought out his carving that I began to truley wonder about him .

I nodded my head for no more needed to be said . I would treasure what he had told me though i did not understand it all I had a feeling I soon would .
He handed me how carving.
"The airs have changed Niklaus war is coming , but this war must not be fought it is to early to soon , the tigress must not fight but her lion for her . She is not ready Niklaus ,protect her until her time young cub when she is ready you will know . This war is not yet hers but the lions that sleep at her feet . It is time they awaken Niklaus . It is time for them to be heard , it is time for her lions to awaken and roar the drums of war"
