Just Hazel.

New Baby Blues

We got off the 6 train at chambers and walked up the block to the doctors clinic. In the clinic I saw a Mexican lady with like 4 kids and a girl around the age of 16/17 crying. The girl was a pretty lightskin with hazel eyes. When I looked at her I saw myself when I was pregnant my second time with Aniylah. I was in the clinic crying trying to figure out how I was gonna provide for another child.

That day I wanted someone at the place to talk to me , anybody. But no one did. So I ended up being dumb and getting pregnant again. I don't want another "hazel case" to occur with this young gurl. So I was gonna talk to her.

" Hey "

" Hi " she sniffled.

" What brings you here ?" I let out a fake chuckle.

She sat up straight and revealed her big belly. " I'm pregnant and I'm only 17 . I don't have a Job or money idk what to do."

I shook my head. " I was like you too when I was pregnant with my daughter. But there's always a way girl. I'm hazel."

She shook my hand . " Alexus."

" Well where's your babyfather?"

" He's right at home , he's 20 years old and a drug dealer , you know Kenny from Marcy ?"

I knew exactly who she was talking about. Kenny from Marcy projects in Brooklyn. That was one of Kareem's so called " dayuno" bros. He was tall and lightskinned , a loud mouth though and always in something.

He was cute tho flipino , Dominican & black. I know their babies gonna come out beautiful.

" Yeah that's my babyfathers 'dayuno' bro "

" Who's your babyfather ?"

" Kareem , K.Dot."

" OH MY GODDDD ! Kay ? I knew it your daughter looks like him in the face. she's beautiful btw what's her name."

" Aniylah Tamia Butler."

" Awwww she's soo cute ."

I smiled wide. I loved when people complimented my kids.

" Thank you "

" Anytime girl. Why your here tho ?"

" Well I was dumb for the third time now I'm knocked up "

" Omg this is the third one?"

She asked pointing to my stomach.

" Yupp"

" Kay is gonna be soo excited !"

I gulped " i dont think its his so don't tell him that "

She looked as shocked as ever

" What you mean it's not Kay's the other two are?"

" Yeah well I'm not sure if this ones his or not cause one night I slept with my best bro around the same time by accident so now it's hard to say."

" Well why don't you say nothing until you see the baby is born "

" That's what I'm planning but idk , what your having ."

" A boy and a girl " she said proudly rubbing her belly.

" HAZEL MARTINEZ ?" The nurse yelled.

I exchanged numbers with Alexus , grabbed Aniylah and went in the back room. I had to break it down to my baby girl about the new baby.

" Niylah?"

" Yes mama?"

" Mommy gotta tell you a secret you can't tell daddy or nobody"

" Ohh what is it" she asked excitedly.

" mommy having a baby."

She jumped up and down " yay where?"

" the baby in my belly it ain't come out yet , what you want a sister or brother?"

She thought about it before she replied. " sisder."

I smirked and chuckled at my baby she was just so adorable.

" ask the doctor if mommy having a girl ok ?"

" Ok mama "

The nurse walked In put the gel on my stomach and rubbed.

I saw the baby it had a big head for me to be only 3months.

As soon as I saw it I fell in love.

This is really a life I created. I smiled to myself at the idea.

The appointment was quick it ended at 12:30. So me and Niylah decided to stop by at my bestfriend , Jakima's house by Brooklyn bridge. Jakima was chubby aged 20 living with her man and her daughter , Truely whom is the same age as Aniylah. She also takes care of her goddaughter , Zariyah and her younger brother , Jayceon. She lived in a apartment housing building that looked actually like a ordinary house. It was 3 floors. And of course she lived on the 3rd floor door B. When we got in the apartment she was blasting Ashanti - Foolish singing along.

On the couch was Truely and Zariyah playing Barbies , Aniylah joined them. I grabbed Jakima in the kitchen and began to break down.

" Girl I have to tell you something but you have to put word that you won't say shit."

" Word. "

" I'm pregnant and idk if its Zeus or Kareem's baby."

Jakima stopped singing and stared at me with her mouth open.

" Dam ginnnnaaaa !"

I started to laugh. Kima always can make me laugh when I want to cry.

" Wellllllllll , we'll see when my god baby is born."

" That's what I'm saying but I don't want hard feelings."

" Wellllll . don't tell Kareem tell Zeus and see what happens. "

Jakima couldn't judge me even if she wanted to. When I was pregnant with Major she was pregnant also by a boy she hardly knew named Tylik. Of course she had a abortion while I kept my baby and till this day she regrets it and hates talking about it. But as for Truely ? That's her mans child and we once again got pregnant at the same time period so our daughters are close in age.

We talked and laughed for a hour until we had to leave to catch the train so we'll be able to pick up Myia & Major on time. I didn't trust them walking home by themselves in this grimmey neighborhood. I was on the train thinking about my babies , relaxing. Then it dawned on me. Zeus is coming over tonight .....
