There was a loud clap of thunder right after a flash of lightning. I flinched into Ethan's arms. How could he sleep through this?

There was silence and it was a little too silent. I dug my face in his chest preparing for the thunder.

"BOOM!"

I practically jumped out of the bed. A small tear slipping out of the corner of my eye.

I felt Ethan shift next to me and I looked at him. His eyes peeled open and looked at me blankly.

"You okay y/n?" He asked concerned. "Yeah I'm fi-" BOOM!! I flinched. "No your not." He said back.

He pulled me in close and I put my head on his chest and my arms in side my chest. His arms around my back protectively.

Another clap of thunder emerged from the sky. "It's okay y/n, your safe." He said kissing my forehead.

I nodded slightly, trying to convince myself. I felt safe in his arms, as if no one could touch me.

I found myself drifting to sleep "goodnight babygirl" he said kissing my forehead.

I kissed his bare chest lightly and smiled.
