Never Forget | A K.L. Fan Fiction

Chapter 1

5:00 AM. It's time to get up.
Today is the day. I'm finally moving to L.A. I've been waiting to do this for years! Ever since I was 12, I've been dreaming about living in California. I'm going there to go to college. When I got a letter that said I got to the college in L.A. and it was already sure that I'm moving there, I was really excited. But everyday I got more nervous and scared. Now I'm dying of nervousness.

My mom knocked on my door.
"Danielle! Time to get up. You don't want to miss your flight."
"Yeah I'm up." I changed my clothes and went to the bathroom. I splashed cold water on my face and looked at myself in the mirror. I looked like hell. Terrible eyebags and my brown long hair absolutely everywhere. I couldn't sleep properly, I slept maybe 3 hours. Most of the night I was thinking about how things are going to change. I've been trying to calm down but I just can't help it. I'm so scared.

I went back to my room to get all of my bags and suitcases. As I walked downstairs, I saw my dog, Tucker, lying on the floor sleeping. I put my bags down and went to pet him.
"I'm going to miss you, Tuck", I slowly whispered to him. He woke up and I slightly hugged him and kissed him on the top of his head.
My mom was waiting me in the kitchen with a sandwich and a cup of coffee.
"I made you breakfast", she said with a kind smile.
"Thank you", I said faintly. She pulled me into a hug. I felt a tear rolling down my cheek. "I'll miss you so much", I said as my mom squeezed me tighter.
"I'll miss you too, honey." She gave a little kiss on my cheek, held my face and looked at my eyes. She wiped my tears with her thumb. We smiled at each other.
"Okay, you can't miss your flight. Are you ready, do you have everything you need?"
"Yeah umm I'm ready." I wasn't.
