Chapter 9

I woke up and noticed the movie was still on. I was leaning my head on Kian's shoulder. I quickly sat up.
"Is it that boring?" Kian laughed.
"Sorry. No it's good! You're really good at acting! But I'm just tired, I guess."
"Thanks", he laughed.
It was only a dream. I had a dream about kissing Kian. Well, that's awkward isn't it.
Soon the movie finished and Kian closed the tv.
"I'm kinda hungry", I said, "shall I cook something?"
"No no it's fine, let me", he smiled.
"No seriously. I can. You made me breakfast earlier. Now it's my turn, let me show you my cooking skills", I laughed.
"Fine", he laughed too, "show me what you got." I went to the kitchen and looked through their fridge and cabinets. I made spaghetti with some tomato sauce.

KIAN'S POV

She's so pretty, I think I really like her. But I don't know how to tell her, I'm scared I'll screw up everything. What happened at the beach was a mistake. She probably doesn't like me that way. I know I haven't known her for two days, but she's different. She's different than the other girls.

I watched Dani cook the whole time. She turned around to look at me and laughed. She had spilled some of the tomato sauce on the floor. I went to get a rag and cleaned it up. We just laughed and she was saying how clumsy she is.
"I'm sorry!" she laughed.
"That's okay, I'm worse! I can't cook, Jc's usually the cook in the house", I said and we both laughed.

We were eating our dinner. I sat across Dani. We didn't talk much, we just looked at each other a lot. I really wanted to tell her. But it's too soon.
"Hey Dani..." I started.
"Yeah?" she smiled kindly.
"I was- uhh.."
"You can tell me."
"Well I.. um", I coughed, "uh never mind. Nothing important. Thanks for the food, it was good." I got up and put my dishes in the dishwasher.
"Are you okay?" Dani asked. She got up to also put her dishes in the dishwasher and stood in front of me. "You seem kinda upset."
"Yeah I'm fine. Don't worry about it", I tried to smile. Dani grabbed my shoulders and hugged me.
"Good. I want you to know that you can tell me anything", she smiled while pulling out of the hug. I just smiled back.

A week passed and I still haven't told her how I feel. Today I have to do it. I want to ask her out. We can maybe go to the movies or go to a restaurant to eat. Me, Dani and Jc were sat down on the couch. There wasn't anything interesting on TV so Dani and Jc were on their phones. I didn't really do anything, I just sat there thinking.
"Guys, I'll go to umm Dom's", Jc suddenly said.
"Okay", me and Dani said. We both knew he was going to Lia's place.
Soon Jc left and I finally got a chance to ask Dani out.
"So umm", say it Kian, ask her! "would you want to go out with me?" I asked nervously. Worst part's over. She looked at me wide-eyed. Then she smiled.
"Of course", her smile widened, "I'm glad you asked!" I felt so relieved and happy.
"Cool! And wait, you are? Glad I mean?"
"Yeah.. to be honest... I've been waiting for you to ask. I thought you never would", she smiled again.
"Really?" I laughed. I couldn't stop smiling.

Later that night we went out. We were sitting in my car.
"So what are we going to do?" I laughed.
"I don't know, surprise me!"
I drove to the movies. There's always many good movies going on. It took us a while to choose what to watch but then we decided to see the new Ouija movie. I bought us the tickets and some pop corn. Then we sat down on a bench to wait for the movie to start. As we were sitting there and talking, I noticed Jc walking towards the cash register. With Lia. I smirked and whispered to Dani to look at them. We smiled at each other.
"Ay Jc!" I suddenly shouted. He looked shocked and embarrassed when he saw us. He bought their tickets and then walked to us with Lia.
"Hey Jc, and hi Dom! Nice house you've got here!" I joked looking around the big building. Lia looked confused, not knowing that Jc told us he would be hanging out with Dom. Me and Dani couldn't help but laugh.
"Dude.." Jc said blushing, "what are you guys doing here anyway. I thought you'd be staying at our place the whole night."
"Nah, it's boring there", I shrugged, "are you guys like, together now?" I smirked.
"You could say so", Jc said almost whispering and they both smiled looking at each other. That is what I want. That is what I want with Dani. I looked at her and she was smiling. She's so beautiful. She looked back at me her smile fading.
"Kian you're staring" she whispered smiling again wider than earlier.
"Sorry, can't help it. You're just so beautiful", I whispered. She looked down at her hands starting to blush.
"What about you two? Are you guys dating yet?" Lia asked smiling.
"Oh uhm we? Noo", I said.
"Shame", she pouted, "you guys are cute together." Me and Dani looked at each other again. Both smiling widely.

DANI'S POV

Me and Kian were in the cinema room and the movie started. Jc and Lia went to watch something else. I was leaning on the armrest inbetween me and Kian. He took my hand and intertwined our fingers. I smiled and looked at him. He was smiling back at me.

I jumped many times during the movie and I had to hug Kian's arm. I felt safe with him. Sometimes I even had to bury my face into his arm. At one point he removed his arm from my grip and put it over my shoulder and hugged me for the rest of the movie. I didn't feel so scared anymore.

The movie ended but we didn't leave yet. We waited for everyone else to leave. There wasn't many people though. Maybe only about 25. I looked at the last two people walking out. When I turned to Kian, he wasn't smiling. He was just looking at me with his beautiful hazel eyes.
"I was so lucky to bump into you at the airport", he said after a long silence, "I mean... you're beautiful, funny, cute, sweet. I haven't met anyone like you. You're perfect. And just as cheesy as this sounds, I'm sorry, I'm a cheesy guy", he laughed, "but Danielle. I really like you. And I hope it's not weird or things won't get weird between us. I just wanted you to know."
I didn't say anything for a while. "Why would things get weird between us Kian?"
"I don't know. If-"
"If what?"
"If you don't feel the same", he looked down at his hands. I took his hands and held them tight.
"I do", I smiled when he looked up at me, "I do feel the same. I really like you too." Kian was all smiles. Then he suddenly pulled me into a kiss. I could feel him smiling. He pulled from the kiss and whispered, "I'm glad you do", and kissed me again.
