I drank my coffee and took my sandwich with me. My mom brought my bags to the door. My dad and brother had also woken up to come to the airport with me and my mom. I kissed and hugged Tuck, he didn't seem to care, looked like he was more interested in the sandwich in my hand.

I took one suitcase and went outside. My dad took the other bags and carried them into the trunk of his car. Behind him I threw my suitcase next to the other bags. God, what did I pack in there? Rocks?
"You need to work out more," noticing the struggle from my face, my brother Darren said with a smirk.
"Ha-ha, funny!" I answered and flipped him off. At the same time my mom walked to the car and noticed what I did.
"Danielle!" my mom said annoyed. She hates when I or Darren do something like that. Darren glanced at me giggling to himself.
"Okay, all ready?" my dad asked.
"All ready" I answered with a slight nod.

As we drove off our driveway, I looked at our house, our yard. I remember being kids and always running around outside, playing tag with Darren. We've always been really close. It'll be weird to not see him every day. I'm planning to annoy him and skype him at least once a day.
"What are you thinking about, Dani?" he asked. It looked like he was trying to get my attention for a while now.
"Oh sorry, um, it's just that", I started. I looked down trying not to cry again. "It's just that I'm going to miss everyone, and everything, especially you." He smiled at me. Even though he's 17 and two years younger than me, he's always been like a big brother to me.
"I'm going to miss you too. To be honest, I miss you already."
"Yeah, but I mean, who am I going to argue with, or who am I going to annoy all the time?" I said and we both laughed.
"You'll make new friends there. And you can annoy them!" he answered and then laughing again.
"We'll see, we'll see. Maybe I'll even meet someone really special and never come back again", I said jokingly.
"Oh don't say that, of course you'll come back, darling! It's just for college!" my mom said.
"Yeah yeah I guess", I answered.
