“I’m not so sure about this Linds,” I said while looking at myself in the mirror.
It was Saturday night and Lindsay was over to help me pick out an outfit to wear to Maureen’s party tonight. After leaving her and Clark in detention on Monday, I made it up to them by inviting them to come with us Saturday.
Let’s be realistic here, because the only reason I’m going is because of Keith. While there, it’ll probably be really awkward between me and some of his friends. So, I needed to bring my friends so I felt more comfortable.
Lindsay currently had me wearing a black tube top that came down to right above my belly button along with a white skirt that was pretty short.
“But you look so cute!” she squealed while clapping her hands.
“Yeah, but I look and feel like a skank,” I whined while turning to dig through the pile of clothes on my bed.
“What does that make me?” Lindsay cried out indignantly.
She was wearing a strapless white cami along with a really short black skirt.
“But there’s a difference! You can pull that look off! I can’t! You make it look classy, while I make it look trashy,” I said while holding up a shirt.
“Whatever. Just put something else on if you don’t like it so much,” she rolled her eyes.
“I will,” I stuck my tongue out at her.
I changed into a light purple one shoulder top. A couple rows of blue sequins went around the hemline. I also put on a pair of khaki shorts that weren’t too short, but they still showed off my long legs.
“What do you think?” I asked while turning around.
“It’s very cute. That’s what you’re gonna wear, so now let’s do make-up!” she said as she guided me over towards the bathroom.
After we were done putting on our make-up, all that was left to do was wait for the guys to come pick us up. I was riding along with Keith (obviously), and then Clark was driving Lindsay. Cole broke up with her earlier in the week, otherwise he would have been coming along with us. I was excited, because after the party, Lindsay was coming back and spending the night at my house.
It was 7:15 when Clark pulled up in my driveway in his black dodge charger that his parents bought him a month ago for his 18th birthday. He was wearing a red Hollister shirt along with a pair of khaki pants and regular sandals. From where I was standing, I could smell his cologne wafting off him, and it smelt really good, even though I didn’t know what brand it was. I love it when guys smell good, as I’ve said before.
Keith pulled up in his truck a little after 7:30. After Lindsay and I checked ourselves one more time to make sure we looked good, we were ready to go. Clark and Lindsay followed behind us since Clark didn’t know how to get to Maureen’s house.
On the way, I couldn’t sit still. I was bouncing up and down in my seat, crossing and uncrossing my legs in attempt to stay still.
“Why are you so fidgety?” he laughed as he placed his hand on my leg.
“I don’t know. I guess I’m just excited to be going to my first party. I can’t wait see what it’s like!” I said excitedly.
“There’s nothing really to be excited about. I mean, it’s just a party. Were you expecting it to be like one of those huge parties you see on TV?” he asked, looking at me.
“Eh, I guess you could put it that way. I just hope that no one gets drunk off their ass and does something really stupid,” I laughed while staring out the window.
