Day 10
"Okay Ed. Let's see what you know now." Roy gave Havoc a notepad with a list of events of Ed's whole life. The most important details to be exact. Next to each event was a box. Ed went down the list with Havoc occasionally checking the boxes that Ed had stated he remembered those moments. Havoc observed his paper and saw there were still a lot of boxes that were blank. "Okay. That leaves, Ed joining the military, and everything down...... Let's see......" Havoc counts all the empty boxes as Ed sits and stares in confusion. He looks to Roy a question in his mind. "Say, Roy is it? Yeah..... Why do you care about my memories so much?" Roy was too concentrated thinking about all the moments that he didn't remember, to answer Ed's question. "Okay... Or, don't answer..... Fine with me......." Ed said blandly patting his thighs in a rhythmic pattern. "Did you say something?" Roy asks the blond who just sighs and looks away. "I didn't say anything..." He said then looked back at Roy who still was thinking hard about all this. "Oh. Okay." Havoc finishes counting and tells Roy. "Alright that leaves..... 26 boxes checked....... and....... 54 to go......." "Dammit....." He said, his voice going quiet. Ed was too impatient to wait until Roy processed this information. "Roy! Why do you care so much about this stupid thing anyways!?" Roy bit his lip, trying his hardest not to slip out any exclusive details. "I- I... I don't know how to explain it.... Ed... You're.... My lover..... I know you don't think I am.... But I am..... I'm trying to get you to remember that... I'm sure..... I can achieve it..... But with all these lost memories and the deadline.... It might be too late...... I can't afford to lose you again..... I want you to stay alive with me...." Ed's eyes widened as he heard this desperate man in front of him. "Roy..... I know you care about me....." Roy's heartbeats became fast. They seemed to be heard throughout the room. "Ed... How? How do you-?" "Roy.... I don't remember exactly, but I know.... Somewhere deep inside..... I know you...... Somewhere...." Roy turns to what is hopefully Ed. "Where? Your mind?" Ed shakes his head. "No Roy." Ed grabs Roy's hands and places it where his heart is. "Here...... I can feel it deep down..... It's trying to show me it's there....... My mind and my heart are fighting. This war inside me. They're constantly fighting. The brain can't hear what the heart is trying to tell them. The heart is ready to give up... But the brain isn't going to stop trying to hear what they have to say.... I know I know you Roy.... I just..... Can't find it yet......" Roy was taken aback by the sudden words that spilled out of Ed's mouth. He felt around the blond's chest realizing what he was talking about. "Ed. I know how you feel. I've been there. I'm sure.... You'll find it.... I did.... It'll take some time.... But trust me..... It'll all come back.... I promise..."
