Ghost of my thoughts

I am haunted
This ghost it follows me
Unrelenting and unforgiving
Diturbing the wreckage
Shattering glass
Meddling, stirring up long forgotten memories

For at any missed step it will pounce
Any sign of weakness and it will consume you

By a ghost who does not sleep
Who has no name, who has no body
Changing, melding from one blurred face to the next
Shifting, bending till the past is the present
And time is lost

Cause with every thought
I am left quaking

This ghost that haunts me
Cannot be cast out
I have tried and struggled and pushed and pulled
But I am empty
Weak to its will
Unable to escape it's ever twisting shape
And the way it clings to me
With twists and tendrils
Wrapping me in the it's unforgiving embrace
My mind, my soul its to plague
