HARRY'S POV
My mother called my sister and I back to the throne room. Both of us were confused as to why she needed to talk to them first. But I didn't have a good feeling. My gut was telling me.
When we get back, I see my mother with a smile. Now I'm starting to get worried.
"I can't wait to tell you both the news I have!"
"Mother, just tell us." I hear Alia say.
"Alright, alright. Both of you know that the Harvest Ball is coming up right?"
"Yes. But what does that have to do with anything?" I ask her.
"Both of your birthdays are coming. Even if Alia is younger, one of you need to be married or engaged soon. And this will make an excellent announcement at the ball. Now. I asked both of lovers to see who would do it. I didn't tell them about this, so they don't know what I had in mind."
"Who said that they would do it?" I asked getting nervous.
"It took a while for one of them to answer. But Laney said that she would." I think it's safe for me to say, meep.
"So what then?"
"What do you mean Harry? Your going to propose to her that's what. Oh it's gonna be one happy day!"
"Son, you know this would eventually happen. You are supposed to take over the kingdom either way. Besides, you should be happy that it's Diana. I've seen the way you look at her. Now go on. You have planning to do."
I turn and just walking to my room. Me not noticing that my sister is right behind me.
"Hey, don't worry about it. I know it's a lot to take in at once, but just go with it."
"That's just the thing Alia. I was hoping to actually have her love me BEFORE marriage. Not the other way around. Heck, she'll probably refuse. I don't want to pressure her into anything."
"You aren't pressuring her. I've seen the way she looks at you. She likes you. But you got to make the perfect moment to tell her. Basically the right time to propose."
"What if she says no?"
"You best bet I'm gonna annoy her until she says yes. Doesn't matter how long it takes. But she will say yes, eventually."
"Thanks Alia. I don't know what I'd do without you."
"Well you wouldn't have the best sister that's what."
I embrace her in a hug lovingly. We just stand there for a moment when I hear a knock on my causing us to break apart.
"Well I'll leave now. I'm sure that's Diana."
"See you." I lead her to the door and and open it. And she was right. It was her. Except I know her as Laney. Alia leaves and I lead Laney inside my room. She looked nervous. I wonder if it has to do with what my mom said.
"So what did your mom say?"
"It's just a special event at the ball. Nothing major, I promise." I hate lying to her, but I can't tell her. If I have to propose, I won't spoil anything. I will make it count.
"Oh thank goodness. I thought we would have to do something special. Or that something would happen. I am so relieved now."
"No problem."
COREY'S POV
"Trina, what do you want?" I ask her when she came inside my room abruptly.
"Mom and dad said to come eat dinner. And that they have something to tell you."
"Just great. Can't I ever be alone?" I mumble under my breath after she leaves my room.
When I got to the dining room, I got hint of what my parents will tell me. Right next to my chair, was a mysterious woman. She had long, brown hair. And she was wearing a yellow dress. I was about to ask who she was, but my parents best me to it. And to skip small talk, I quickly take my seat.
"Oh honey, I forgot to tell you earlier. We have a visitor. This lovely woman here is Alexandra. She's from the Reign kingdom. Isn't she just dashing?" She asks me. I look at Alexandra and she gives me a smile. I'm getting a bad vibe from her though, which just makes me nervous.
"Yeah. Anyway, Trina told me you and dad had to tell me something."
"Oh yes. I nearly forgot, silly me. Now, you know you are getting close to being of age right?"
"I am perfectly aware of that."
"You need a bride son. The rules clearly state you must be married by the time you become ruler. Otherwise, it will go to someone else that is qualified." My father tells me.
"In short, we want you to marry Alexandra. We met her at our meeting a few weeks ago with her parents. And both of us think she'd make an excellent queen." my mother said with a smile. I wanted to leave right then and there. Why couldn't they do this to Trina? She's older either way.
"Shouldn't Trina be ruling anyway? She is older after all."
"And you are a boy. You get the throne. But if your sister gets married before you, it's going to be her kingdom instead." I swear I'd rather be born into a normal family. Not royalty.
"Yes father."
"Now, I have planned you two a day at the local restaurant. That way, you'll get to know each other more. So at least you won't be marrying a total stranger"

Now it's Corey being forced into marriage. Not so lucky as Laney. Do you think they'll marry who they are suggested? Or do you think they'll marry each other? It may be a fan fiction, but it doesn't have to end happy. 😈
