Daisy's P.O.V.
I woke up and rubbed my head. Wait, I don't remember going to bed!? I opened my eyes and noticed I was in another room. "Good morning" I looked over to see Silver sitting on the end of the bed. "Wh- did you bring me here?" "No, Shadow carried you in here last night" "last night..." I mumbled. I then threw the sheets off and fell out of the bed. I was in his bed!! Silver laughed, "did you have a heart attack?" "Even if I did you shouldn't be luaghing" "touchè" I laughed a little. I got up, brushed off my night gown and fixed my- wait. "Where's my crown!?" I flaied my arms. "I don't know" "ugh, I cant believe I lost my crown!" I rushed out of the room and frantically looked all over the place. "Misplace something?" I stopped and backed up. I walked into the kitchen to Shadow standing there drinking from a cup twirling my crown around his finger. "I could put you in prison for theft" I snatched it from him. "Oh but I didn't steal it I found it. You said yourself that you 'Lost' it" he smirked and took a drink. "Oh ho, good one" I dropped my crown on my head. "Why do you wear your crown to bed?" "I don't, I don't even remember going to bed. Care to enlighten me lady carrier" he almost choked on his drink and then cleared his throat. "You were up on the balcony for an hour. You fell asleep hunched over the railing and mumbling something about 'talking to the stars'?" I put my hand over my mouth. "Oh.. last night..." "anyways-" "no." I grabbed his shoulder. "Who is she?" "She?" "Last night, who were you talking to?" "Don't dig into things you don't need to" he pushed my hand away. "I guess your right... it's none of my business anyways... sorry" "your damn right" he walked away. "Damn.." I sighed deeply. When am I gonna open him up? Wait, why do I want to? I guess hes intriguing. I walked back to Peach's bedroom and got dressed. It was already 9:00. I walked her to the gym to practice again. Only a week before the games need to get that practice in. "What's eating you?" "Eh?" "You seem... preoccupied" "What makes you say that?" "Well the fact that I've asked you to hand me that hula hoop three times" I blinked and looked at the hula hoop on the floor next to me. I picked it and tossed it to her. "And the fact that you haven't been peppy so far today" "oh" I looked off in the distance. "I just-" my eyes met ruby orbs. I stared at Shadow from afar, "It's nothing" I turned and continued my exercises. I ran around the track, I saw Shadow. I ran up next to him, I looked the opposite way. "What?" "What" he looked at me. I turned my head to look at him and he continued looking strait and running forward. I couldn't help it, I wanted to know what last night was all about. I ran up next to him again. I pushed myself to keep up the pace with him. "What are doing?" "I wanna know" "quit pokin-" "I don't care, I have to know, I heard you talking to someone last night" "What gives you the right to know?" "Curiosity?" I pleaded with my eyes. "You really wanna know?" He stopped and pushed me up against a fence. I had my mouth gaped open, but I closed and smirked. "Yes" "fine, a challenge" "long jump" "wh-?" "We can't race, you have an unfair advantage" "fine then, long jump it is" if this was the only way I was gonna find out then I'll win. I don't why I want, or care, to know who he was talking to so much. We walked over to the long jump training place. Blaze was standing there, "Hey Blaze" she turned and gave a little curtsy. I politely did one back, after all she was a princess too. "Can you judge who goes the farthest?" She looked at both of us then turned to me, "of coarse" she walked to the side of the sand strip. I walked over to the beginning of the running strip. "By all means go first" "ladies first" I scoffed and readied up. I started up and ran as fast as I could and jumped. "Safe" Blaze called at the line. She walked up to me and handed me a little flag. I put it in the ground right where I landed. I then realized that part of this had to do with speed. Crap. He readied up, "I'll try to hold back for 'fairness' reasons" he started running. I rolled my eyes at his remark. I watched intentionally, but turned my head not be able to watch to see if I won. I bit my lip, and he landed. I turned around and slumped over and sighed. He landed five inches away from my flag. "Well then, looks lik-" "foul" I turned to Blaze. "What?" I ran over to her. She had a flash camera to tell not just her eyesight. She pointed to the picture, the tip of his foot was, barely, but still over the line. I turned to him, he had his teeth clinched. "The consequences aren't that bad" "What did you get yourself into Shadow?" Blaze jumped in the conversation. He walked away, "Hey! Wait up" I ran after him. He turned and grabbed my wrist and scooped me up. He ran really fast, I shut my eyes. He put me down after awhile, "you won fair and square" I tilted my head. He looked out over the balcony, that's where he had brought me. Fitting. "You really want to know?" "I want answers" I crossed my arms. "Then an answer you will get" he backed me up against the wall.
