"Damn Stells, forreal?" He asked her looking straight past me. "What do you mean forreal, I should be asking you the same thing!" She yelled looking past me as well.
His eyes were darker than usual, and I couldn't read his emotions, but I wanted to know what was on his mind. "Babe..." I reached out to place a hand on his chest.
"Don't fucking touch me!" He yelled so loud that I jumped. He was livid, and his eyes became darker, and darker by the second. "Did you ask her to tell you that?" He looked at me, and his glare was so intense that I wanted to start crying.
Y'all know i'm a crybaby.
"No! I asked her if she knew! So stop glaring at her like that!" Stella yelled at him. "You need to chill out, she's your fiancee. It's not like she's going to judge you, she's already in love with you, Danny." Her voice had dropped by now.
I just kept cooking. I was surprised, and hurt that he yelled at me like that. I didn't look at either of them... I didn't even know if they were still talking cause I zoned them out.
How is it that I can tell him literally everything about ny life, and show him the most vulnerable parts of myself, but the second I find out something that he never would have told me, it's an issue.
"Jade..." I finally heard him call my name. "Fuck you." I shrugged his hand off of my shoulder. "What I tell you about that?" His voice soft, but laced with a warning.
"You told me not to say that shit to you." I mumbled stirring the pot. "So why the fuck I hear you saying it?" He took the spoon from my hand, and turned me to face him.
"Because, you just hurt my fucking feelings, that's why! I tell you everything! Shit that I ain't never even said aloud, but the first time I actually find out something about yo past, I fucked up, right? No, don't touch me." I said pushing him away when he tried to pull me into him.
I ignored him, and finished cooking the chili, but he didn't move. Stella had left after they got done arguing. He said she was trying to say bye to me, but I ignored them both.
Once I finished the chili, I grabbed my phone, and purse, and started walking towards the garden door.
"Where you going?" He finally asked following me to the door. "I'm going home." I said in a bored tone.
Before my hand even reached the handle he was holding me against him. His hands on my waist, and his lips pressing kisses onto my neck from behind.
"You ain't going nowhere." He turned me around to face him. "Look at me." He demanded, but I didn't. I was trying so hard not to let my tears fall.
I was just an emotional wreck today.
"Baby, look at me." He demanded turning my face to him, with his finger on my chin. "Baby, i'm sorry. I shouldn't have yelled at you like that. You know you mean the world to me." He said wiping a traitorous tear with his thumb.
"No, cause I'm not about to stay over here while you acting like that. I already got enough shit to deal with, and I am not about to add to it." I tried to pull away, but of course he was too strong.
"Can you just let me go please?" I sighed, as a few more tears fell. "I told you I would never let you go, didn't I?" I wanted to smile, but I couldn't.
"Do you want me to tell you everything? I'll even tell you what happened to Stella." He proposed, and I just looked at him for a second, to see if he was lying.
He wasn't. He doesn't lie.
I nodded, and he let me go. "We can talk upstairs." He said. "What about dinner?" I asked, and he looked toward the kitchen. "I'll make our plates, just go upstairs for me." He nodded towards the stairs.
