Chapter 5

Leah's POV:

I opened my eyes and see my bandage hand, I let out a soft sigh as I turn to the other side of the bed and see Rogue there. I blinks then rubbed my eyes to see if I am not dreaming this. "It's still early Leah." He muttered in his sleep as he pulled me close to him.

His breath hitting against my forehead. "Rogue.. what happened last night?" I asked as I held onto his grey shirt. "All I remember is Natsu coming into the hotel but I don't remember after that." I can feel Rogue tense next to me, I looked at him as I see worry and pain in his eyes.

"I'm sorry Leah." is all he said, I got out of bed to look around for Iris. "Iris.. where is Iris?" I asked and still got silence. "Rogue.. please tell me." I begged at this point I was already desperate to know where my partner is at, I didn't want to be alone again. "Lady Minerva has her." Sting says and the chances of getting Iris back is now slim.

"Sting." Rogue growled and I just shook my head to stop those two as I just walked out of the room. "I'm going to the arena, I'll see you guys there." I said and walked off to wander a bit in the city. 'Why can't I remember..' I sighed softly then touch the green crystal hanging off my neck.

I let out a soft sigh and adjust my hood to continue walking as I made my way to the arena. I let my mind wander till I bumped into someone who stopped all of a sudden. "Sorry." I muttered and glanced up to see its Mystogan from Fairy Tail. "Sorry I didn't watch where I was going." I went around him then walked away to be at the stands where Sabertooth is at.

"Leah, your taking the first game I hope you remember our deal." Minerva states as I just stared at her. "No, I don't My lady. I don't remember anything." I said as she narrowed her eyes believing that I am just doing this to mess with her. "Listen brat, if this is a joke its not funny unless if you want your cat safe and sound." She threatened which made me want to attack her here and now but I can't risk Iris's safety.

"I'm not joking, all I remember is Natsu storming into the inn and everything else is a blank." I said but I still didn't get the answers I needed as Olga went down to deal with the first game instead of me.

Rogue's POV:

I watched as Leah sat on the bench in silence. I still can't help but wonder if what Iris did was the right thing.

Flashback

Leah and Iris were about to leave first when a loud thud is heard. "Leah!" Iris flew over to her partner only Leah disappeared in front of her and reappeared in front of Minerva. 'This is bad.' I thought wanting to step in but I couldn't. Not with people like Master Jiemma and Lady Minerva being this sadistic.

"Let her go! Galaxy wave!" Iris is already in her combat form she is shorter than Leah by a few inches but her guild mark is clearly visible on the back of her hand. "You two seem suspicious wanting to leave first right after that fairy tail mage left." Minerva states as Leah is then tossed again with Minerva's territory magic hitting her.

"You two aren't going anywhere till we get answers. Did you sent that boy here?" Minerva asked and Leah said a simple no. "Your lying." "We're not!" Leah yelled as she glared at Lady Minerva. "Why would I bring an enemy into the hotel and trash the place? I was in the room when the meeting was over." She stated and its true I was about defend Leah till Sting prevented me from stepping in.

"Sting." "Rogue this isn't something you shouldn't be getting yourself involved in." He stated and I knew he was right but Leah is still innocent. Agonizing screams coming from Leah kept breaking me apart. I wanted to go to her but Sting would make sure that I don't go near her.

"Crystal devil's rage!" A bright purple beam came out of the smoke of dust and Leah stood there with anger in her eyes and black markings covered half of her face. "Leah stop! Don't let your anger blind you!" Iris yelled as she ran and blocked Leah's path. "This isn't you Leah! Yukino wouldn't want this!" Her purple eyes are brimming with tears. "Leah if you still want to be a part of this guild then you better start learning your place." Minerva stated with a serious look on her face then turned to Iris. "From this day until the games are over. Iris and Leah you two are no longer a team. Iris is going to distract you in the games and we need to win Leah we don't need your screw ups."

Iris frowned as Leah just stayed quiet. "Forgive me Leah.. I'm going to make you forget whatever happened just now." Iris weakly smiled and kissed her forehead and Leah soon fell forward knocked out. "I don't care what you do me, but don't you dare harm Leah. I advise you let her take the first game tomorrow to blow some steam." Iris stated and she disappeared.

Flashback end

'To make Leah forget what happened last night.. I can't even tell her what happened to Iris after that.' I thought as they announced the competitors for today's games.

Leah's POV:

I sighed as I leaned back, closing my eyes as I listen the match. Though I didn't expect to hear that I am fighting in the battle. "You better win this one Leah." I hear Sting called out as I stopped then removed the cloak and set it down on the bench. "Touch it and your dead." I glared at them then made my way down to the arena.

"Up next we have Sabertooth's Leah Agria vs Blue Pegasus's Eve." 

I just stood there as I watch the confetti fall in the battle ring, I listened to Blue Pegasus cheering Eve on as I looked back at the blonde male. The gong rang and hummed softly as substitute a dummy in my place.

"It's not my clone this time, I won't need them for this." "Well I won't fall for that again." I couldn't help but smile as I tilt my head and place a hand out in front of me. "Crystal make: Crystal mirror." "A mirror?" "This is no ordinary mirror, while I have one that can deflect your attacks I can let this one make a copy to whoever the person in front of it desires." The mirror started to spin as I watch it slow down and Blue Pegasus's Ichiya takes in its form.

I have no words of what to say and snapped my fingers as I destroyed the crystal form. "Now I feel absolutely exhausted just witnessing who you truly desire." I sighed then kicked his snow substitute as I chuckled softly. "Well you sure are learning fast." as a blizzard came and my crystal clone took the hit as I back flipped out of my hiding spot. 

"Now I'm bored." I sighed softly and frowned slightly then shook my head. "Sorry.. I need to win for her sake. Though, at least someone else isn't down here in my place I would say your lucky.. Crystal make: Crystal black rose." A large crystal rose took in its form as I  stand in the middle of the spiral stem. "Thorns." with that the thorns separated itself from the stem as it attacked Eve. "Stem." I said as the stem made sure to grab Eve and prevent him from escaping. I frowned slightly as I already felt bad using the black rose. I wanted to go over to Eve and help him but Sabertooth won't be happy.

"I'm sorry." I muttered to Eve and cupped my hands to make a small crystal snowflake and watch it fly over to Eve as the rest of his team came down to help him. "I hope we can fight again, just not like this." I told them and turned around to head back to the stands ignoring the rest of the Team as I grabbed my cloak and went to the dark hallway and stay there for the rest of Day 3.
