Chapter 9

Leah's POV:

It's been several days after the battle of the dragons I touched my neck where my devil slayer mark use to be and see its no longer there anymore. I am currently getting ready with Iris as she decides to wear a flower crown with a simple dress. "Why does this feel skin tight.." I sighed as I kept staring at myself in the mirror.

"Its suppose to be like that Leah, stop complaining you already rejected almost all of the dresses that I picked out for you." Iris scolded as I groaned slightly at Iris's taste in clothing. "Cause most of them were either making me look like I have big hips or revealing. I am not showing off to anyone." I said and slightly turn pink at the thought of a certain black head.

"Your face says other wise." Iris narrowed her eyes as she looks at me carefully. "Hurry up, and get ready, everyone is waiting." she calls out as she head for the door.

I let out a sigh then followed Iris to the ballroom as the music manage to make its way to my ears as we draw closer to the ballroom. Iris opened the door as I caught her once she stopped flying. "Wow, I didn't realize there were a lot of people here." I muttered softly as I glance around the ballroom. 

"Look whose here." I turned my head and see the Sabertooth guild all dressed up. "Rogue was just wondering what took you so long." Sting teased as I felt my face heat up slightly. "Sorry.. Iris was helping me pick out a dress to wear." I explained as Iris huffed slightly. "More like someone can't even stop blushing for no reason." "They don't need to know that! I'm going to get a drink." I mumbled the last part softly then quickly walked away from them.

Rogue's POV:

I watched as the flustered silverette quickly walked away into the crowd as I sighed at my partner as he snickers with Iris. "You two are unbelievable." I commented "I thinks so too!" Frosch said as Iris shrugged her shoulders. "Sting why don't you put your plan into action and try and get along with Natsu!" Lector states as the two idiots went off somewhere. "I better keep an eye on him.. Do you want to tag along Iris or are you going to find Leah?" "Leah will be fine. She doesn't need me to watch her all the time." She states as I nodded my head then followed Sting and Lector.

I sweat drop when Sting picked up a bottle of orange juice, "I am already imagining many scenarios that something will go wrong with this plan of his." I sighed as I followed closely behind him. "Alright! I owe Natsu a drink." Sting states as he walks over to Gajeel. "And one of them is about to come true." I sighed and walked over to them.

"Ryos." "If you don't mind I prefer to be called Rogue." I told the Iron dragon slayer as Iris tailed behind me. "You need to watch yourself, the you from the future was a real piece of work." "Yes, I know, and that would be put it extremely lightly. I'm not him." I said as I faced Gajeel. "I will never become that man. I swear it. " "I know he wont." Frosch chimed next to me as Iris landed next to Frosch.

I sighed softly as Sting made his way next to Gajeel. "Well since Natsu didn't show I guess you're close enough." "Yeah close enough to knock your teeth in." I turned my head when I saw movement from the corner of my eyes and see Leah walking over with a distant look on her face. "Is something wrong Leah?" I asked as I watch her carefully as she shook her head. "It's noth..ing" She trailed off as I followed her gaze and see Yukino appear with Mira and Lucy behind her.

"Look whose here." Frosch said with a smile as "sorry, I don't think I can do this right now." she said as she quickly turned around to walk away, but stopped when Sting called out to her.

Leah's POV:

I watch my cousin as Sting talks to her about rejoining Sabertooth. I wanted to slip away and hide. I didn't deserve to be called family, not after what Master Jiemma did. I didn't try and stop her from leaving Crocus I just watch her go. So many thoughts were going through my head as I was pulled back into reality when the other guilds start wanting Yukino to join their guild.
