(That picture... I can't even)

Dylan's pov

I was outside after a concert one day, having a smoke. I suddenly heard crying coming from an alleyway. It was too high to be an adult, and it was definitely a girl. I put out my smoke and ran to the alley way where I heard the crying. What I saw filled me with anger. It was a young girl, about 10 years old, being beaten by 3 grown men who were about my age. She was kicking her legs as tears streamed down her face. I ran into the alleyway and punched the guy beating her up. I  punched each of them in the face, knocking them all out. I then ran to the young girl. She had tears streaming down her face. I smile at her. "Hey there. Are you ok?" I asked softly. She shook her head no. I hold her hand, which was tiny compared to mine. She whimpered. I pulled her in for a hug. I kiss her head and stroke her hair. She cries into my shoulder. I whisper soothing things into her ear. "Do you have parents kiddo?" She shook her head no. I frowned. I picked her up gently and carried her to my place. I took her into the living room and wrapped her in a blanket. I kissed her head softly and made her a snack. She was bone thin. I gave her some cheese and crackers and a glass of water. She smiled softly. I turned on the tv to the news. It showed a broadcast of a man being arrested. She pointed at him. "That my dad!" I sighed and hugged her close and tight. She yawned. I held her closer and turned off the light. She fell asleep in my embrace. I stroked her hair softly and covered me with the blanket as well. "Goodnight kiddo..." I say as I fall asleep, with the tiny 10 year old clinging onto me.
