It was morning in the Kendall/Natalie house and two days until Kendall's birthday when a knock on the door distracted us from our pancakes.

"I'll answer." I said, and heard Natalie in the other room groan at how "loud" it was.

I opened it and there was Hannah, stood with a suitcase and grinning her head off.

"Kendall, cuppa please?" I yelled.

"Alright my precious." Kendall said, and when I heard her go into the kitchen I started to speak.

"Come into the living room."

I sat Hannah down on the sofa, and ran to my seat when Kendall walked in yawning.

"We need a new kettle, that ones so slow. I mean it's cute and goes with the decor but- HOLY MOTHER OF MINE!" She yelled after being awake enough to see Hannah.

"HANNAH?" She ran over to her and hugged her.

"Kendall!" Hannah laughed.

"Oh my god. How did you do this?"

"Amber organised it all- apart from the ticket, obviously."

"I can't believe you!" Kendall yelled and pulled me into the hug.

Then a dozy Natalie walked into the room.

"Guys, you're so loud. I'm not trying to be grumpy. It's just disturbing my sleep. I'm getting better but sleep is vital at the minute." She walked out, not even realising Hannah was there. Without her glasses she probably assumed the blonde fuzz was Finn.

"Well, she's nice?" Hannah said.

"Actually she is. She's just had a really bad infection or illness or something and she's getting over it." Kendall explained.

That had always been the problem. Assumption without analysis. She heard the getting better part and ignored it, choosing to judge the loud remark.

Then there was a knock on the door, and in popped Finn.

"Amber, you left so early this morning. What were you here for?" He said entering the living room.

"For Kendall's surprise! Hannah's here!"

"The one that moved to Australia?"

"That's me." Hannah piped up. "You must be Amber's boyfriend?"

"She wishes. I'm Finn, her flat mate."

"Hannah, but you already knew that. So, what do you do in uni?"

And there it was. Hannah said hello to Kendall, insulted her flat mate and flirted with mine.

"Finn, a word?" I said.

"Fine."

We stood in the hallway between our flat and Kendall's.

"Don't get any ideas around Hannah. Please. She's here for Kendall, and she's sort of dodgy."

"Why get her to come across to England if she's dodgy, Amber?"
