Chapter Thirteen: Naruto's Stolen...Kisses? New Friend or Foe?

Naruto came back with ingredients and fire wood to start on dinner for the group. He spotted everyone going all around the village causing him to smile slightly. He walked into a building and saw a table in the corner, he walked over it and placed the ingredients on it. He then moved his hand over the center of the room causing a hole to appear. He placed the fire wood inside the hole and set up for a grill. 'Kurama give me the first dish,' Naruto said. Soon the recipe appeared in his mind and Naruto began to work. Soon everyone began to tumble into the building following their noses to the scent. "It smells really good in here," Choji said. Naruto looked behind him and smiled at him, "Thanks Choji," he said and continued to work. Ino had a blush on her face when she caught Naruto's figure. Lean, toned build, his muscles flexing every time he cuts the vegetables, and the heartwarming sight of a man is cooking. Ino shakes her head to get rid of the thoughts but noticed Haku smiling lovingly at Naruto. 'Huh?' Ino thought. "Hey Ino," someone called her.

Turning around she spotted Naruto looking at her, "Can you help me?" he asked. Ino nods her head and stands by his side, "Great! Since you know about flowers do you think you can grab me mint?" he asks her. Ino smiles at him, "Leave it to me Naruto!" she said and walks out of the building. 'Mint? Why does he needs mint for?' Ino thought but shrug her shoulders. She quickly found a mint plant with several leaves and took it with her back to Naruto. "Here you go Naruto!" she said. Naruto took the plant and smiled at her, "Thanks Ino. I knew I can count on you," he said and turned around. Ino blushed a bit but shook it off, "No problem!" she said and walked off. Choji's mouth watered from the scent that surrounded the building, "How much longer Naruto?" he whined. "Not long, I'm almost done. Be patient Choji," Naruto smiled. Choji nods his head and waited. After two hours Naruto was finished and placed plates and bowls filled with food on the table. "Alright dig in," he smiled. Everyone dug in and their eyes widen, "This is very good!" Sakura said. "NARUTO-KUN I LOVE YOUR FOOD!!" Choji shouted. Naruto laughed at that, "Thanks Choji, it's one of my Clan's favorite dish," Naruto smiled.

"How did you get the recipe?" Kakashi asked. "Well, Kurama has been in the Uzumaki Clan since the wife of the first Hokage, so he knew all the recipes," Naruto answered with a little lie. He knew about the recipe because he went back in time and the Clan Leader gave him the recipes. Naruto looked at his friends and smiled a bit; Choji was scuffing down most of the food causing Ino and the rest to bicker at him. Shikamaru was only sighing next to him while the quiet ones were a bit back from the group. Naruto stood up and walked out, 'I guess I can play shōgi by myself,' Naruto thought as he went towards the center of the village. There he summoned up a shōgi board and started to set up when someone shadowed over him. "You play?" he heard Asuma's familiar voice. "Yep, wanna play?" Naruto asked boredly. Asuma takes a seat in front of him and finished placing his pieces on the board. "Do you want to go first?" Naruto asked. Asuma nods his head and moves his piece. Naruto quietly observes his moves and moved his piece.

After two hours into the game Asuma frowns, "Checkmate," Naruto said. In those two hours everyone had gathered around Naruto except Shikamaru. He was watching the clouds, "How?" Asuma asked himself. He looks at the board and noticed how Naruto had many attack places left while he had only three, "I see," he said. Naruto smiles, "Good game Asuma," Naruto said. Truth be told, Naruto actually liked playing with someone other than making a clone to play. Shikamaru finally went down and saw Asuma playing shōgi with Naruto. "Are you two barely starting?" he asks. "Nope, this is our fortieth time playing. I only won once," Asuma answered. Shikamaru was shocked, "What?" he asked. "I only won once since I've been playing with Naruto about six hours ago," Asuma said. "Can I watch?" Shikamaru asks. "Sure," both Naruto and Asuma said. Shikamaru took the middle and observed the game. 'Such intellect. He's increasing his attack routes while lowering the chance for Asuma to strike back,' Shikamaru thought when the game started. A few minutes into the game Shikamaru was shocked, "Checkmate," Naruto said. Asuma sighs but smiles, "You beat me again, Naruto," he said. Naruto nods his head and glances at Shikamaru, "You want to play?" he asks. Shikamaru nods his head and takes Asuma's seat and Asuma took his. Naruto sets the board again, "You or me?" he asks. "You," Shikamaru said. Naruto nods his head and starts to move his first piece.
