The Last Dance

Dani's PoV

A few days later Elena and I were stood in the living of the boarding house with a lawyer. We both signed many papers. We were finally about to sign the last one.

"Please sign here and here," the lawyer states pointing to the bottom, waiting for a signature.

Elena grabs the pen and quickly signs, she then hands it to me and I sign it too.

After, we slowly begin walking over to the front door.

"So this place is all yours? They just gave it to both of you?" Bonnie asks.

"For now. As sole owners, we're the only ones who can invite a certain type of person in here, if you know what I mean," Elena states.

Bonnie, "Your own personal safe house."

I grin, "That's the idea."

"Wouldn't want to clean it," Bonnie jokes.

We laugh as Elena opens the door, allowing the lawyer to leave.

Elena, "Thank you, Mr. Henry."

Stefan and Damon then walk to the threshold but an invisible force keeps them out.

Elena looks at them, "I'm sorry. I completely forgot."

She then looks at Stefan.

"Stefan. Would you like to come inside my house?" Elena invites.

Stefan smiles, "I would love to. Thank you."

Stefan then enters the house and stands next to Elena. I then look at Damon.

Damon glares at us, "What are we, twelve?"

"One of us is," I joke.

Elena sighs, "If we let you in, do you promise to obey the owners of this house?"

"No."

"Seriously, Damon. My way. You promised. I call the shots. No lies, no secret agendas. Remember?" Elena says.

Damon sighs, "Yes, Elena. Sure."

Elena grins, "Then please, come in."

Damon then enters the house and glances at Stefan. I quickly shut the door.

"Shut up," I hear Damon direct at Stefan, who was laughing.

Bonnie then walks in from another room and gives Elena her jacket.

Elena smiles, "Thanks."

Stefan starts to panic, "Wait, where are you both going?"

"To school," I state.

Stefan, "Huh?"

Damon walks over, "No, no, no. We didn't create a safe house for you to leave it."
