"Huh, Ladybug?" Marinette asks with her mind suddenly completely blank of who Ladybug is.
"Oh, Marinette I have missed you so much!" the high squeaky voice of Tikki exclaims, followed by a tiny red and black spotted flying creature. Marinette screams and jumps off the small bed, and then she runs to the wall furthest away from the red creature.
"What is that thing?" Marinette asks as she points her finger in the direction of Tikki.
"You don't remember me, Marinette?" Tikki asks. Marinette scratches her head for a few seconds before shaking her head, "My name's Tikki – do you remember Tikki?"
Marinette stares at the harmless creature, reaching out a finger to lightly touch her cheek and she breathes out, "Tikki?" sounding like the Marinette she was before.
Tikki smiles and nods her head, "Yes, Marinette, it's me. Tikk-" Tikki is interrupted by Marinette's deafening scream coming from her throat. Marinette retreats her hand and plants her hands on her head in agony, as if her brain is aching. "W-What's happening to her?" Tikki turns to Master Fu who shakes his head before coming in between Tikki and Marinette to take Marinette back to her bed. However, as soon as he touches Marinette, it is like touching a stove with the heat all the up to the top. Master Fu bites his lip in pain as Marinette screeches out in horror.
My name's Tikki – do you remember Tikki? The ladybug kwami's voice fills Marinette's mind as floods of memories that her old self had flashes in front of her – as if she is watching her own memories on a television. The memories block her view of everyone. Marinette cries out Tikki's name as memories of meeting Tikki for the first time come into view, then the times where she becomes ladybug comes into view, then the times she talked to Tikki comes into view. It is as if her brain is giving her the full summary of her life before with Tikki but it aches Marinette's brain to comprehend all of this information so soon.
Everything just needs to...stop!
And so it does.
It's just Marinette and her memories now.
She doesn't know what's real or what's fake but she's there. She's in her bedroom – a pink palace with pictures of her, Adrien, Nino and Alya all over the walls and photo frames with her and Adrien. It's a sea of memories trying to find a vacant spot in brain that is already filled to the brim. All of a sudden the pictures disappear one by one and in their place are pictures of a young girl with blueberry hair and her parents.
"Quickly, Adrien, I'm going to show you my room!" a tiny voice belonging to a young Marinette echoes in Marinette's mind. Marinette's attention goes to her younger self – a person she has no memory of – running up the stairs hand in hand with a younger Adrien Agreste.
"Adrien...Adrien Agreste..." the name slips from the mouth of Marinette as she watches her younger self give Adrien the full tour. Tears start to fill Marinette's mind as the view switches from her younger self to an older version of herself (not as old as she is now) and two more people, "A-Alya...Nino..."
"I'm going to miss the both of you," Alya sobs into her best friend's arms.
"We're going to miss you too, Alya." Nino tells her before giving her a kiss on the cheek. Alya blushes before walking down the stairs to leave.
"She...she left us? Alya left us." Marinette breathes out remembering how hurt she felt when her best friend told both her and Nino that she was going to go move to England after her mother got accepted in a world class culinary job. A flash a white moves onto the next scene with her and Adrien, except this time they are not in Marinette's room. The scene is dark with the only light provided is by the moon. The past Marinette and Adrien are standing in front of the school soaking wet from the pouring rain. Both of their expressions are full of anger and sadness. Marinette can see by the past her's glassy eyes and stiff position that she is clearly in a fight with Adrien.
"Why, Adrien? Why did you just leave me like that?" her old self's voice echoes through Marinette's mind like thunder.
"I didn't leave you." Adrien whispers, trying to be calm, but his voice pierces in Marinette's brain.
"Then why were you ignoring me ever since you came back to this school?" Marinette asks, the tears now pouring from her eyes – or is that the rain?
"I-"
"I thought you were my friend, Adrien!" both Marinette's exclaim at the top of their voices in sync.
"I thought he was my friend..." Marinette whispers to herself and as if on cue a flash of lighting blinds her view of her old self and her sight goes completely black. However, there is only one thing on Marinette's mind.
Adrien Agreste.
