Alex's POV

I feel so bad.

A nurse came in and asked me where the boy with the nice eyes is.

Beck.

She said he was here all day when I was brought in, from opening to closing. And I kicked him out yesterday.

I had to tell him to leave, he can't know and I can't drag him into this, I care too much. No one can know, it will make everything worse but I was going to find him and apologise. I would just say I was tired.

I told the doctors I was mugged but I didn't care, and that I just wanted to go home. They recommended against it but I couldn't say the truth. He was too rich to get in trouble for it anyways.

The hospital discharged me the day after I kicked Beck out.

I remember he told me he brought clothes so I got changed and left. He didn't leave my keys.

As I walked out the sun blinded me and I put my hand up, shielding my face.

In the distance I could see a guy holding a drink and eating a sandwich so I went to go for a walk in the park.

It was Beck.

I sat down next to him and he looked at me, acknowledging my presence.

I started to talk;

"Hey"

"Hi"

"I'm sorry I kicked you out I did it be-"

"It's fine, I get you needed space after what happened.....
what did happen?"

"Oh I fell down the stairs."

He grunted.

"Let's go for a coffee, I have some change and then I'll walk you back to your place"

We got our coffees and left.

The walk home was awkward, he made small talk but I felt like when we got home he would have lots of questions.

When we reached our house he told me to sit.

I was right.

"What happened?"

"I told you I f-"

"No what really happened?"

I huffed.

"Please Beck, drop it. Nothing happened."

"Whatever Alex, just remember you can trust me"

He put his hand on my leg and I gulped.

He stood up.

"Let me drive you home"

His face went pale.

"No, no I can walk" He was stuttering and he raced to the door.

"Please, it's the least I can do." I begged.
