Heyo,
I couldn't think of a song to go with this chapter, but if you think of one comment and I'll put it up.

{Lily Beth}
I get back to my dorm and see my roommate sitting on her bed, reading a book. I walk over and sit on my bed and study her before I introduce myself. She has eyes as black as night with platinum blonde hair as an opposite. Her skin is a nice olive color, unlike my pale skin. She had her hair in a braid and is wearing a dressy top with jeans.
"Hi," I say. She looks up from her book and gives a slight nod. "My name's Lily Beth...uh...I'm studying journalism."
She sighs, closes her book, and sits up, "My name's Kansas, yes like the state, but you don't need to know my name because I'm getting my own dorm tomorrow." Okay then, miss manners. I look at my feet, why is she getting her own dorm tomorrow?
Before I can stop myself, I have a word blurt, "Why are you getting your own dorm?"
She looks at me, "For reasons I don't wish to share with a random stranger." Okay then. I decide not to be nosey and move on. I think of how make it less akward, so I think of small talk.
"So, what book are you reading?" I say, eying her book.
"Withering Heights" I try not to gag, Wuthering Heights is one of the most boring I've ever read. My mom gave it to me when I was 10 when she was searching through her college books. She told me that she never finished it when she had to read it, and I took it as a challenge for me to finish it. Let's just say, I completed the challenge but it was harder than I imagen it is to keep complete the challenge on the TV show "Naked and Afraid". I know you may ne thinking that I hated it because I was 10, that's not the case. I read To Kill a Mockingbird when I was 9 and loved it. I read The Great Gatsby after finishing Wuthering Heights and loved it, even though I never got to finish it since I found another series. To help my case, I reread Wuthering Heights a few years ago and still it was worse than stabbing myself in the eyes. Now that I've rambled and ranted Wuthering Heights, I need to call Jily May.
I log onto my phone and press Jils's contact. I bring my phone up to my ear and listen, she picks up on the first ring.
"Lils!" She practically screams into the speaker.
"Jils!" I say just as loud, even though that earns me a few annoyed/weirded out looks from Kansas.
"Tell. Me. Everything."
"Okay,soIwentbacktomydormaftersaying goodbyetomomanddadandunpackedmy rommatestillwasntherewhenIwasdonesoIdecidedtoscoutoutcampus,andIwalkintothisdineramdseeJoanasittingtherehewavesmeoverandIgositdownandwetalkhisauntsgoodItoldhimaboutyouandhediscoveredIlikeharrypottertaylorswiftandtwentyønepilotsandthatI'majournalismmajorIfoundouthe'saEnglishmajorandwantstobealawyerthanwetalksomemorethanIsayI'mgoingtogobacktomydormandasI'mleavingheasksmetogottotheassemblytommorowandIsayyesthenIcomebackandmyroomate'shere,her name's Arkansas, andshe'sreadingWutheringHeights, yeah that's the book I hate." I say all in one breath, which gets an eyebrow raise from Arkansas and me drinking half of the water bottle I grabbed.
Jily May takes it all in and is speechless, I hear Mom calling for her in the distance and she hangs up. She doesn't even say goodbye, which doesn't bother me. When Mom calls, you have to get to her quick or she'll yell at you. You don't have time to say goodbye.
