I pull my crop top a little down so it reaches just above my belly button. I pull the hair elastic of out of my hair and let my bun fall down.

"Ready?" I grab my phone and kavu bag.

"Yeah," Joana stands up and we start walking out.

"Where do you want to go?"

''Wherever you do.''

''Let's walk around campus.'' I lead the way into the heart of campus and start walking towards a pub I see. ''Let's check this out, Joan.'' Smiling a little about my childhood nickname for Joana, I walk into the pub and sit down at the table.

''I'm not hungry, Lils,'' Joana sits down across from me. ''You?''

''Not at all, actually,'' I give a little chuckle. ''Just get me a mocha. Please.''

''Why can't you get it yourself?'' He crosses his arms but I see a smile in his eyes.

''Because you're awesome, please Joana? I don't feel like getting up,'' I fake pout. Joana rolls his eyes and stands up. ''Thank you! You da best.'' I smile triumphantly and Joana just rolls his eyes again. When he walks off, a tall guy that looks around Joana and my age walks over.

''Hey,'' he smiles at me.

''Hey...?'' I say awkwardly, but still with a light smile.

''Name's Joseph. You are?''

''Beth.''

''Short for Bethany?''

''No,'' I raise an eyebrow. ''Not at all.''

''Well, its a beautiful name for a beautiful girl,'' he winks as me.

Did he just wink at me?!? And use the clichest pick up line ever? Wow okay.

''Sorry, but I'm not interested in a boyfriend,'' I say bluntly without meaning to.

''You sure babe? Its very rare someone gets this offer from Joseph,'' Joseph leans in close.

''Yes, I'm sure. And don't call me babe. Please. Go away, have a nice night,'' I lean back. Where the hell is Joana?!? Joseph just leans in closer.

''Lily Beth, who's this?'' Joana stands with our drinks and two donuts.

''Beth? Is this your boyfriend?''

''Yes, now go. Away. Now.'' I say and push Joseph off me. Joseph considers it for a moment then walks off. Thank god.

''Who was that and why did he call you Beth?'' Joana sits across from me.

''He's some guy who was flirting with me and wouldn't go away, I told him we were dating so he would go away. He called me Beth, cause that's what I told him my name was.''

''Why?''

''Because,'' I sigh. ''I go by Beth a lot now, I told Kansas my name was Lily Beth cause I was still in the mind set of seeing you. Only my family calls me Lily Beth really.''

''Would you like me to call you Beth?'' Joana raises and eyebrow.

''You're decision,'' I say and sip my coffee. I finish my coffee and donut. ''Wanna go walk around some more?''

''Sure,'' Joana stands up and I follow him.

We walk around and come up to some musicians playing a song. I smile and and run away from Joana. I drop my bag in the grass and start dancing a long. Cause why not? I smile at Joana and he runs up and grabs my hand, dancing with me. Its just like when we were five and would play pretend. He twirls me and I laugh and sway along to the music. He smiles and dips me, and I swear, I forget we're in the middle of Vanderbilt campus and just stare into Joana's eyes while we dance. If he notices, I don't care. I'm enjoying this moment too much.

I finally updated! Yayyyyy! Anyways, how did you like this chapter? The beginning sucks, I know. I was trying to get to the end.
