Pt.5

Ariana's POV
Ethan had been gone for a week now. I had no one to sit with at lunch. No one to talk to. No one to laugh with. I just felt isolated, even my mom was worrying about me. Ethan hadn't even opened my texts, maybe he's  found someone else, maybe he's over me. I had to stop upsetting myself.

Later that day I drove up to the mall. I checked how much money I had left in my bank.. $214.60. The only reason I had this money was because I'm the sort of person that saves up. I walked back to the car and made my way back home.

"Hey, where have you been?" My mom asked. "Just the mall" I replied whilst making my way up the stairs. I closed the door behind me as I entered my room. I turned on my laptop and searched up : cheap flights to LA. Ugh I couldn't even afford any flights. I clicked onto the last website, I scrolled down to see that there was a sale on LA flights. Finally I could afford a ticket. Without thinking about how my mom would react I pressed buy before they sold out. I'm 16, and my mom doesn't even know I'm flying to LA tomorrow morning. What has my life come to?

"Mom..." I shouted from upstairs. "Yes Ari" she replied. "Can you quickly come up?"
My mom pokes her head from behind the door. "What are you doing honey, why are you packing?" She questioned. "Ok.. I'm flying to LA tomorrow morning" I mumbled.
"ARIANA WOODS! There is no way your flying out to LA tomorrow, besides you don't even have tickets" she shouted. "But I do mom!" I replied. "What do you mean you have tickets?!" She said. "Sorry mom- I thought you would be happy that I was flying out to reunite with Ethan, I haven't seen him in what feels like forever" I mumbled. "Fine.. you can go. But please stay safe" my mum said. She walked over and gave me a hug.
"I guess I won't see you tomorrow as my flight leaves at 5" I said. "Well then have a safe journey and make sure to text me when you arrive, love you". And with that she left the room.
