We start reading our lines out loud. His voice is deep and raspy, it's actually mesmerizing listening to it.

"Willow, it's your turn now." the teacher said awakening me from my trance. I was so distracted that I forgot my line.

We finished the act and went back to our seats. He was sitting opposite me and I could feel him starring at me while we were analysing the act we just read. Finally the bell rings and I make my way out of the classroom.

Someone grabs my wrist. I already knew who it was. I turn to face Ryan.

"Hey...umm...would you mind helping me get up to date with the play? You know since I'm new here and guessing from this morning we live near each other."

"Yeah, sure"

"Great! So your house? My house is being renovated."

My house? My family is going to embarrass me so much, I mean they're hippies. They're probably going to say some weird shit he'll find creepy like "we were your age when you were conceived". Literally, my mom gave birth to me when she was 19. Let's just say they believed in the saying make love not war. I'll have to find a way to get them out of the house, but I can't give up an opportunity like this.

"Okay" I say regretting it almost immediately.

After another 4 boring lessons school was finally over.

I got off the bus and start walking home. A few houses away from mine, I hear someone calling my name from behind. it was Ryan's voice. I turned around and saw him running towards me with my journal.

"It fell out of your bag in the bus."

"Thank you so much. Please tell me you didn't read any of it."

"No, never! You told me not to and I respect that."

For a moment we stand there in silence as I stare at him in awe. He's so loyal and respectful. I would probably have read it before giving it back.

"So I live over there." I say pointing in the direction of my house. "You can't miss it! It's the one with all the wind chimes hanging from the tree."

"Cool. So see you around?"

I give him a warm smile and nod. I then wave as I turn around to walk home.

I went upstairs to my room, lit an incense burner and sit in front of my window. I carefully take the flower out of my hair and place it in my journal.
