Alright, so a lot of you guys have been calling Maya annoying and a bitch and all that mean stuff. So, this chapter is going to a filler about Maya life, alright? Because people aren't the way Maya is for no reason. There is always a reason why people act a certain way, and you guys clearly need to get that. I'm sorry, I'm not trying to be rude, but just because she's the villain, doesn't mean that she has no feelings or has no background. I'm sorry if you hate me, but you all seriously need to understand why Maya is this way, controlling and bratty. Alright? Just stick with me, okay?

~Chapter Fifteen~

"Maya, you alright there?" Maya's father, Edward, asked

"Yeah, dad, 'm fine," Maya muttered

"I'm sorry," Edward murmurs, "But honey, you can't always get what you want. Harry and Louis are both nice boys, and I'm sure that they feel bad for you. But you have to understand that they are not dolls that you can push around. Harry and Louis are two very committed people. And John does good work for me, I need him in his job"

Maya looks up to face her father for the first time in four days.

"Yeah, I know dad. I guess its because you taught me that I could get everything I wanted. Do you remember dad? The day it all started?"

~Twelve years earlier~

"Daddy! Where's momma! I made her a drawing!" A seven year old Maya says cheerfully

Her tan skin is darken by the large amount of the dirt that she is covered in. But her blue eyes are shining brightly as she shows her father some badly drawn stick figures that are supposed to represent her and her mother. The stick figures are hugging and whispering 'I love you' to each other.

"Maya, dearest," Edward says, grabbing his daughters shoulders softly, "Your mother...she's not going to be around for a while,"

Little Maya's eyebrows furrow, "Where is she, daddy?"

Edward plasters on a fake smile, "She's uptown now, Maya. But don't worry, you'll see her again. Now, do you want to go to the toy store?"

"YES!! Please, daddy!" Little Maya says with a grin, jumping up and down slightly

~Back to the Present~

"You always let me get anything, if I begged and screamed and whined enough," Maya says, pursing her lips, "You gave into fast to my demands because you thought that I was grieving my mother too much. Which I was, I suppose,"

"Yeah, I know. And that was my mistake. I shouldn't have spoiled you so much," Edward says softly

"I wish you had learned to say no," Maya mutters

~Eight Years Earlier~

"Please daddy!" Eleven year old Maya says with a pout, holding up a new, expensive shirt to her father

Edward sighs, "No, I'm sorry, but no this time, honey,"

Maya stomps her foot, "That's not fair! Everyone who's cool will be wearing this shirt!" She screeches, making a couple other customers look over at Maya

"Maya, honey, lower you voice, please," Edward says, trying to hush his screaming daughter

"NO! I WANT THIS SHIRT! I WON'T BE QUIET UNTIL YOU BUY IT!" Maya whines loudly, causing a couple older woman to shake their heads and some people glare at the two

"Fine, just please stop screaming!" Edward says frantically, ushering his daughter to the check out line

Maya grins, knowing she can use her father's embarrassment to do anything.
