Let It Be Wednesday Already.

Election Day is coming forth,
Autumn has faltered Summer's warmth.
Buses and trains are at a stand still,
Workers are picketing to get their fill.
Mud-slinging here, and left to right,
Insanity brimming all day and night.
Humanity has lost all its reason,
As steadfastly approaches this holiday season.
Getting upset over stupid coffee cups,
Not even acting at all like grownups.
Religion and State mixing to a boil,
These two candidates like water and oil.
Hatred flooding all social network,
Bigots and racists have gone all but berserk.
Everything is coming to a peak,
People acting like high school cliques.
Supporters and protesters acting crazy a like,
Friends and family breaking through spite.
Insanity is ruling and common sense has dwindled,
Politicians always have known how to swindle.
Enough of this he said, she said BS,
Lets all make amends to acquiesce.
Lets make an amend to have more peace,
To wish all this fighting, and mud-slinging to cease.
To come together and love one another,
Because in a way we are all like sisters and brothers.
Lets also wish for one thing at the ready,
To let it be fucking Wednesday already.
