I see your face and vivid eyes,

The colour of the bright blue sky...

I feel the warmth of your gaze,

You've put me in an awful craze!

I watch the hours ticking by,

I lay here as the minutes fly...

I close my eyes to see your face,

I close them to feel that warm embrace...

I open my eyes and it is you,

You look me over, through and through...

I smile as your eyes grow wide,

You've seen my face and have almost cried!

I wrap my arms around you tight,

I feel your heart grow ever more bright...

You hold me there close to your chest,

I hold you to me, our lips then press...

The feeling is fleeting but it comes back,

I hear the horses as they click and clack...

I hold you close as we passionately kiss,

I do not want to end this bliss!

The chimes sound like softened rain,

I hear the disembodied train...

I clutch your hand to my breast,

My tears flow freely, long since suppressed!

The train sounds louder, I don't wish to go!

I watch as the river streams and flows...

I see your tears and vivid eyes,

I hold you to me and we both fall and cry!

I feel your touch and soft embrace,

I kiss you so many times in haste!

I watch as the tide rolls in sublime,

Lost with you somewhere in time...
