Everyone has their own family, dead or alive. There are no exceptions in the warriors world. New kits are brought to life constantly in stories, and some people may forget who are the kits' relatives.
Therefore, it is suggested to create a family tree, to show connections and better organise your fanfiction. You can either simply include just their names and genders in the familty tree, or you can add more details such as their status (dead or alive) - though it is not suggested so as to avoid cluttering up the family tree.
It is important to note that a litter of kits is usually made up of one to five kits, if not a few more. Do not overdo the number of kits in a litter. First of all, it will look logical, and secondly, it will help you keep track of your characters easier.
Furthermore, you can use family trees to determine a kit's pelt colour. For example, if both parents are grey, the kit will most likely be grey as well. If the kit's grandparents are also grey, then it increases the likelihood of the kit being grey.
