Gavin-

"Hey Ebony!" The boys greet, but their attention can last only so long.

"Gavin? Do you want to go play football now?" Garret questions me and the guys all cheer me on.

I was about to agree, but I then felt Ebony shift under my hands. I want to, I really really do want to play. But I have to watch over her.

"Nah, I brought Ebony here to show her around, so I can't. Sorry dudes, next time though alright?" I promise the boys.

"Whatever, Gavin," they grumble away and I slightly flinch.

"Alright Ebony, your pick, what do you want to do?"

"Eat," she mumble, I scratch the back of my head as a nervous grin sets on my face. I didn't have enough time to bring my wallet so I can't exactly afford food.

"Um, how about we explore the park and then I'll bring you somewhere to eat?" I ask her in a compromise.

Ebony thinks for a moment, checking her surroundings. She nods after a moment.

"So yes?" I question.

"Uh huh," she hums in clarification.

"Good, where do you want to go?" I ask, Ebony does a 360 circle and points to a swing. I lightly sprint and she quickly catches up to me. I let her win as she runs with all her might to the swing set.

Out of the corner of my eye I see my friends stop to watch us. I hear them grumble, "That's stupid, he could've easily won." "She acts like a spoiled brat, bossing him around because she's the Beta's daughter." "He never hangs out with us anymore, babysitting her all the time!"

I snicker at them because I know that they're missing out on something great. I would never give her up, not even for the world. I am bound to her and she owns me. I know that. I always will. By the time I get there, she is already waiting for me on the swings.

"Can you push me?" Ebony politely asks. I walk behind her, instruct her how to use her legs on the swings, and then push her to give her a start.
After she is set I sit down on my own swing and began swinging with her. I stare at the sky, its deeply cloudy today.

"Where are we going to eat?" Ebony asks as she gets a hang of the swing.

"My house," I answer her.

"Will there be people there?" Her eyes are wide with anxiety.

"Most likely, but they won't bother you." I assure her. She nods and says no more.

We swing in silence for a little while before I hear an ice cream truck's music.

"Ice cream!" She squeals.

"I don't have my wallet Ebbs." I say. My voice sounding disappointed because I am in myself. She slumps in her seat and weakly swings herself. "I'll buy you ice cream next time." I promise.

Ebony only mumbles under her breath and turns her head away from me. I smile at her childishness. "Are you pouting?" I teasingly asks her.

"No!" She snaps at me.

I shut my mouth in an instant. Her face goes red. After a few minutes when she goes back to her original color I question her again.

"Did I make you angry?" Ebony turns her head away from me.

I watch her watching the ice cream truck stop for the other kids. More kids come running from their houses. Before I am able to ask her another question she jumps off of her swing and runs into the ice cream crowd.
