"Aoife!" called my mother
"I'm coming" I replied, as I traipsed down the stairs I felt different to other days... Today is going to be a good day I thought to myself.
As i entered the kitchen-diner area, my step father spun me around whilst singing along to Girls just wanna have fun by Cyndi Lauper. I join in and we dance around the kitchen island.
"Aoife" sighed my mother "will you please sit down we need to talk to you."
Oh no oh no, i thought in my head, what have i done now. I did my homework, fed the kittens, I took out the rubbish, and brushed my hair. What could it be
"Look I'm sorry, please forgive me I didnt mean to" I blurted out before hearing what she had to say.
"Woah. Woah tiger," replied my father "you're not in trouble. In fact we're proud of you" said my parents together with dazzling smiles on their faces.
A scraping noise reached my ears as my mother slid a letter across the table.
"Open it then" she whispered eagerly.
As i opened it a whirl of purple wind, filled with glitter emerged from the packet, and 2 pieces of parchment fell out of the letter. The wind quickly changed from purple to pink and then orange. My parents were giggling as i read my letter:
