Selena

I was awoken by my alarm clock ringing by my side. I press the snooze button and pull the covers off my body. Time to get back to work. Right now I'm thinking, why didn't I take up Harry's generous offer to start work after another month. I'm so stupid.

After a long warm shower I change into a comfortable blue colored work dress and make myself some breakfast. I wish I could skip breakfast like I always did before but I need to take my med and the doctor strictly told me not to take any medication with any empty stomach. Sigh.

After quickly finishing up my breakfast I head out. As I start my car, realization hits me. I'm going to be work for my ex boyfriend. Well I don't even know if I should call him that but still. Why am I so calm about everything? Also, I haven't seen all my colleagues in months. I wonder if they'll still be mean to me once they find out I'm not with Harry anymore. I doubt they would they generally don't seem like nice considerate people.

Coming back to work seems to weird. I feel like I got fired or resigned and now I'm back for my job. I park at my usual spot and to my surprise it was empty and not taken by someone.

As soon as I enter the building, I could feel all eyes were on me. Maybe it's just my anxiety kicking in but I'm pretty sure alot of people were staring at me like I was an alien. Maybe they thought I was fired or something and now I'm back.

On the way up to my usual floor I was greeted by several people kn the elevator which was strange. Polite smiles were flashed my way, a little small talk, how I was. To say I was confused would be an understatement. Why were so many people being nice to me all the sudden? Maybe they just felt sorry for me? I don't know.

I step out of the elevator to see quite a few changes made on my usual floor. Harry got it refurnished and both the offices look so different but in a good way. Other then that the photocopy machine as well as the coffee machine had been replaced with newer working equipment.

After wandering the entire floor, checking out the changes made I went into my office. I put my stuff down and started to get to work. A photo on my desk caught my eye. It was a picture of Harry and I. Suddenly my heart sunk with realization that we aren't together anymore. There's a chance we might not ever be together again? Can I live with that? I blink away the tears that were forming into my eyes and picked up the picture and put it away. I need to be strong. Everything happens for the best Selena-my mind kept reminding me.

I was so endorsed in my work that I forgot to bring Harry coffee. I checked the time to see it was almost 12. Shit. Shit. Shit. I messed up on my first day back. Oh god I sure hope he's not pissed.

I quickly run to the coffee room and get the machine started. After about five minutes I was done. As I was walking to Harry's office I kept praying he wasn't mad. I know how grumpy Harry gets without his morning coffee sometimes.

I knock on Harry's door and once I hear a come in, I make my way inside. Harry looks up from his computer. Once he sees it's me he flashes me an ear to ear smile.

"Your coffee. I'm so sorry I forgot to give it to you earlier. I was just so busy with work. I'm Sorry." I say apologetically.

"No worries Selena. It was your first day. I actually already got coffee before I came in today so it's all good." Harry smiles at me.
