ill shut up now, sorry

You walked with Adam and Tracer back to the hotel. As you entered, all eyes turned to the three of you, and you understood exactly why.

There was a man dressed as a clown standing next to a normal, everyday looking woman who was standing next to a former Overwatch agent. Tracer didn't seem to mind, probably because she was used to this type of behavior. You, on the other hand, felt extremely self concious as you walked with Adam and Tracer to the elevator. Luckily, the elevator was at the beginning of a hallway that cut the three of you out of view from the people in the lobby.

You frantically clicked the button to go up, Adam at your right with his arms crossed and Tracer at your left waiting patiently. The elevator doors opened and you yanked Adam inside, Tracer hurriedly following.

This building had 6 floors. You pressed the button labelled 4 and the doors closed. The elevator began to move up and you awkwardly stared at the door as the quiet music played.

You couldn't help but notice that Tracer was bouncing a little bit. You assumed it was because of the glowing blue piece of metal on her chest. Perhaps it gave her a large amount of energy? Or it tried to suppress an even greater amount of energy?

Adam sneered as he wiped the paint and dirt off his face. "(Y/N), I'm going to be completely honest. I did almost get punched, but I dodged it."

"I found you doing a terrible thing. I don't doubt that you almost got punched."

Adam awkwardly cleared his throat. "About that-" he said as he reached for the back of his neck.

"Don't," you snapped back, suppressing aggression. "You're just lucky I don't ship you back to Australia."

You could tell that he didn't want to aggravate you anymore, so he shut up. You looked to Tracer. "I'm sorry once again about him. He's very immature if you couldn't tell."

Tracer smiled and shrugged. "It's alright, love," she replied. "Everyone makes mistakes and that's why I'm here."

"Oh look- we're finally here," Adam said hurriedly, squeezing through the two elevator doors as they began to open. You and Tracer looked over at him.

"Adam, you don't have the key."

"Yes, I do," he said, holding up his hand to reveal the key card in between his pointer and middle fingers.

"Adam," you growled, walking out after him, then slowing up and waiting for Tracer, who was walking a bit slower now. "What did I tell you about pickpocketing me?"

Adam turned around, walking backwards toward your apartment's door now, grinned and shrugged. "You never specified what I couldn't pickpocket. You said to not take your phone or car keys."

You closed your eyes. "Fine. Unlock it and give it back."

"I was going to. I didn't know I could still pickpocket as well as I used to be able to."

Tracer cocked her head a bit. You watched Adam open the door and then walk inside, dropping the key card on the marble countertop on an island in the kitchen.

You sighed and walked past the small kitchen and sat on the couch. You turned your head to watch Tracer approach Adam before he went to change out of his costume and go to sleep.

"Adam?" she asked.

"Yeah?" he asked, taking off his gloves.

"What part of Australia do you happen to be from?" she asked. You thought you had told her already, but you could understand why she might want to ask the aussie directly.

"Melbourne. Why?" Adam replied.

"Oh," she said, drooping a little. "I know two blokes from Junkertown who were on Overwatch before it disbanded."

"Oh. No, I've never been there. Haven't even heard of it, sorry," he sighed.

Tracer nodded. "That's alright. Carry on then."

You cocked your head as she turned and walked toward you. You looked back at the TV which you hadn't powered on yet. She sat down next to you and leaned on the opposing arm of the couch.

You reached for the remote on a small table next to you. You clicked the power button. The TV flared to life and you clicked the button to turn the cable box on. Soon enough, you were watching the news. Nothing interesting; the usual, more clown incidents and minor car crashes.

You glanced at the time in the bottom left corner. It read 11:26 PM. You sighed and held the remote out to Tracer. "I'm gonna go to sleep. It's getting late."

Tracer nodded and took the remote. "Okay, I'll see you tomorrow then."

"Yeah," you smiled softly and stood up. You walked into your bedroom. It had a small bathroom with a toilet and glass stand up shower in the corner. You changed out of your clothes into pajamas and got into the bed that was up against the back wall. You closed your eyes and fell asleep fairly quickly. You had had an entire cup of (coffee/tea), but you still felt extremely tired from all the worry and anger that Adam had caused today.

Even if he was supposed to be an adult, he was still your friend, and friends look out for each other. You were beginning to gain feelings for Tracer as well; you weren't sure if it was friendship or something else but you knew that she probably didn't feel the same way about you.

But how little did you know.
