Pain. Pain as the only thing that his mind could register. It was fire that ate at him, pulling away his skin to reveal something that not even he could comprehend.

It was seeing her in pain that drove him into a frenzy. Pain, it was written all over her face. Her body twisted and turned, her short clawing at her skin as she tried to release what she was feeling. It was all too familiar, the way her body screamed mirrored his own.

He could see the fire in her eyes diminish, replaced by a dull glaze that didn't belong to the girl that he loved and it broke his heart.

He couldn't comprehend what his body was doing, he didn't want to. Every part of him was hurting, the previous rage he had felt was turned into a fuel for his pain. Bones snapping, skin stretching and tearing was brutal, it was uncontrollable.

He felt like he was on the cusp on reality, he was on the edge of sanity because this was surely going to drive him insane.

His mind wouldn't let him. It forced him to watch her, stare into her eyes as she was filled with complete and utter torment

Then nothing made sense. Then he was standing on four legs instead of two. Then he could hear distant voices in his head, his friends welcoming him. Congratulations made no sense when other voices were yelling at him to stay, to not move.

He could hear their fear, fear that he had hurt her but he could never had hurt her.

Then he looked at her again closely.

Had her hair always looked so soft? Her skin was beautiful; it was moonlight that shown in the day.

Scars littered her skin, crescent indentation that resembled human teeth were everywhere. They shimmered and no matter how much more precious it made her, it also made him angry. So incredibly angry that he thought he was going to be sick.

On a hand sat a bruise, a bruise that resembled his hand all too much. He whined, a sound that radiated low in his throat, and his eyes searched for hers.

She stood on the beach arms spread wide as she waited for the waves, and then she was running for them as they grew closer. Running directly for his arms and he lifted her up, spinning her around and her laugh sparked his own. He felt unconditional love for her.

She was running, running from his as he chased after her on wolf paws through the trees. He was moving slow, giving into the chase that she so desperately wanted. He could sense her joy, and he wasn't capable of ignoring his own but he watched the trees, watched the dark shadows carefully because he wouldn't be able to live with himself if he let anything happen to her.

He could feel the pain and torment that grew inside of him as she yelled. Her angry words were like cuts that burned his skin. She was angry with him, so incredibly angry but she was still more beautiful than anything he had ever seen.

She was growing older in quick flashes before his eyes. Each moment, each important instance he was glued to her side. Se was there, eyes blown wide and filled with tears as she first saw him as she walked down the aisle. Her smile as she thrust a positive pregnancy test in his direction, her curses when he came home late, her delicate arms as she held a tiny child in her arms. The look of pure love and adoration when she looked at small children that looked like her, like him. Their children.

He took a step forward and she screamed, scrambling away from her.

"What the fuck. What the actual flying fuck," she mumbled. She was beautiful, her voice the sweetest honey.

Her body shook in fear; her eyes were wide as she looked at him warily. He took another step forward cautiously, desperate not to frighten her. She ran and Quil stood frozen.

Because he loved Andy. Andy was his everything, the one thing that kept him held to the earth.
