There is a feeling, very distinct, for realising that you aren't in your own bed the moment you wake. It was a worry that grew in the pit of your stomach, jolting you from your comfortable place between sleep and consciousness- racing your heart until you can identify where you are.
That was different for Andy as she rose to a burning heat enveloping her, her midsection restrained under a heavy weight. She pushed hair from her face, eyes widening considerably at the sight of him laying next to her.
He looked peaceful, vulnerable as soft tufts of curly hair fell into his face. He seemed older, much more mature and she wondered how quickly he was forced to grow up because of the world he was thrust into. He rested on his stomach, back muscled exposed and he looked so incredibly different than he used to with the new definition. It took everything in her to hold back from reaching out and touching him- scared of waking him.
She glanced to the window next to his bed, watching as the dark sky grew a lonely grey as morning crept upon them, reminding her that she needed to leave soon if she was going to make it to school. Finals started this week and though she was prepared, the anxiety that berated her made her feel the need to attend school.
It was strange to think that she was nearly finished with the entire thing until she headed off to college- when she decided to go to college.
Laying next to him for a night was heaven in a moment, his presence would forever be stitched to her soul and never would it be the same to sleep at night without him. She struggled to get out of bed- not wanting to pull herself from his arms.
Andy wiggled from under his arm, instantly being hit with a cool breeze the moment she was free. A shiver ran down he spine and she began to search through his clothes- replacing her shirt with one of his and tossing on her yellow raincoat from the day before.
Ready to leave, she decided against waking him- instead placing a kiss to his forehead and rushing out the house and towards Emmett's jeep.
The vehicle was out of place on the reservation- most cars here were hand downs or trucks. Though it was an older car- it still seemed too fancy to be here.
Sliding into the front seat, she prepared herself for the drive to Forks along the lonely stretch of highway that led into the small town. School was not something she wanted to do at the moment, everything that was happening did not fit in with the regular life of a teenage girl.
Humming along to the music that filled the car, Andy shrieked when a thump come from the top of the jeep. She swerved slightly, heart pounding in her ears and she slammed on the break.
There was a knock on her window, Jasper glaring at her and pointing to the door expectantly. Andy shook her head defiantly, a pout planted on her lips as she refused to unlock the door for him. It was obvious that he was angry and she did not want to deal with that.
"Let me in," he hissed.
"No, I'm in a good mood and you're only going to ruin it," she grumbled, latching onto the handle in hopes that it would only reinforce him not getting in.
"Unlock the door, we don't have time for this right now," he ground out, his own hand curling around the outside handle of the driver's side door.
"We have plenty of time. There's still a half hour till school starts," Andy argued in confusion, briefly looking towards the clock that rested on the dash.
The blond vampire heaved a sigh and moved to the back of the jeep- a fist smashing the glass on the back window and then he was climbing in.
The anger that radiated from him left a sticky taste in her mouth- bitter and disgusting. It put her in a sour mood nearly instantly while he seemed just as tense, though not angry.
