Winter winds blew at the height in which they came to make camp. Edward, unable to feel the cold, did not take such into consideration when in came to choosing the site.
The fire had been put out, tents thrown up, and both sisters had disappeared within the small space that served as protection.
The howl of wind as it brought blizzard snow over them shook the canvas of the tent and caused flickers of shadows to dance from the battery powered lamp that rested near her head.
She couls hear the clattering of Bella's teeth from over the distance despite the loud wind, and Andy couldn't help be feel guilty as she lay snug and warm.
It was a blessing, it seemed, as both Lynn and Quil had cramped themselves into her tent left her a sweating mess as she crawled out from her sleeping bag and blankets - slowly removing the layers of clothing that she had forced herself into.
In a loose fitting t-shirt and thin pyjama pants, Andy wondered if she should send one of her companions over to help Bella as the couple didn't seem to consider inviting Jacob in to warm her up.
Lynn, though the girl didn't seem to very much like her sister, would head over if she asked in the right way, but Andy wasn't very keen on forcing her to do something she didn't want to.
"Do you think Bella's going to be okay?" She questioned tentatively, shuffling around on her sleeping bag until she was resting on her stomach and able to look at the pair.
Lynn kept her eyes closed, making her view on the subject clear, but Quil moved to his side, propping himself on his elbow.
"She'll be fine," he brushed her hair from her face, fingers grazing her jaw. "Jake's probably going to force himself in there any minute now if his obnoxious whimpers are any sign."
"He's whimpering?" Andy pushed herself up, sitting on her heels and turning to face the entrance of the tent. "Is he cold out there? Is he okay?"
Lynn snorted, and quicker than Andy could move, reached out and wank her back down by her wrist.
A small huff came from the Swan girl, her hair falling back into her face.
"Black's fine, he's just being a big baby," Lynn remarked, eyes darting to the side where Jake rested as she laughed.
It was annoying, at times, to be surrounded by so many that had exceptional senses that ended with her being left out. In the moment, her friend must of heard something that she would never be capable of picking up unless her senses were supernaturally enhanced.
Rolling her eyes in mild agitation, Andy faced Quil looking for some kind of clarification at the moment. The boy didn't give her a direct answer as he nudged her shoulder with his nose and tucked her hair back again.
"Jake's a baby," he repeats, acting as if that was all she needed to know.
She let it go, forgetting about the other boy that she didn't much care for and only tolerated. He was no longer a friend of hers, only a friend of Bella. As it was, Jake wasn't a very good friend to anyone at the momemt as his obsession with her sister only seemed to grow and become more desperate and consuming as he sought to keep her from turning like she wished.
It was a loosing battle for him as Bella waa determined to spend forever with Edward, but she wasn't going to be the one at the receiving end of his rage when he inevitably got the point through. The pain he would feel would shatter the poor guys heart, something that was equivalent at times to a fatal sickness if not treated with care, and the nature of my very being would ensure that it would be treated with care - though the nature of Bella was not careful. It was awkward and jagged at the edges, tearing at the souls of those around her unintentionally as she stretched for what she could not live without.
