Alarice Guillermo
I leave Vogue headquarters and walk to the nearest subway station to go to the first place that popped into my mind, Central Park. Right now all I need is peace of mind, and sometimes going to Central Park helps me get that.
When I get off at my stop in 57th street-7 Avenue, I start to feel like someone is following me. Not exactly ready to look behind me, I quicken my pace to get to Central Park. As I get to the park I turn around and instantly crash onto a hard object.
I swear if I somehow managed to crash into a wall in a park I quit life.
But I didn't crash into a wall. There are two arms that are holding onto my waist with a strong grip.
"Jeez, Miss Guillermo, are you alright?" An oddly familiar voice asks me. I look up to put a face with the voice and see that it's the one and only, Sebastian Valdez.
"Why were you behind me so close?!" I get out of his hold and narrow my eyes at him.
"Why did you suddenly walk fast like you were in a hurry?" He questions me with a slight humorous tone.
"Don't answer my question with another question!" Getting frustrated with him, I start to walk away and into the park.
He follows closely behind me and chuckles."I didn't answer your questions with my question, I just simply asked you a question avoiding yours."
I glare at him but it doesn't last as I see his boyish grin that shows his two cute dimples, those are to die for. No wonder he has women throwing themselves at him.
Just not you. He's only your attractive business partner. Not yours at all. I tell myself.
"Don't get smart with me Mr. Valdez. Why are you here? We're done with Vogue, I don't have to hear from you until Monday and see you until Tuesday." I state raising an eyebrow at him.
He sighs and looks around. "You were upset when you left Vogue," I shift my gaze off him, "I wanted to see if you're okay. By the way, you know going on the subway on your own is dangerous."
"Thanks for the concern, I know it can be dangerous but I know how to take care of myself. It's not like I haven't used the subway before." I mutter and walk towards one of my favorite parts of Central Park.
