Amir later that night was rushed to the hospital because his parents wanted to double check that everything was okay.
The ball didn't last long after Amir left. Everyone began heading home because boredom was evident in the ballroom. Me and Choji left too after checking up on Amir.
Choji drove all of us back and drive to my house first. "Thank you guys." I wave to Choji, his sister, and his date.
"No problem Amina!" Choji's sister waved back enthusiastically.
I smile and turned around to walk up the steps to the door. I made a quick bee line to my bedroom after greeting my mother. She and my little sister were sprawled in the floor doing weird exercises. They asked me to join but I thought better not.
I locked my room and plunged into my squeaky bed. What the heck! I rubbed my face vigorously. Amir's words were stuck in my head the whole night that I couldn't even sleep now.
I then tried to busy myself with changing my clothes and taking a shower because I was sweating from this heavy dress.
But even when night time came I couldn't sleep and was smiling like a fool at the memory of the ball. All I could think was that Amir confessed, even though it was a stupid way confessing.
I was annoyed at myself though because I thought I would never fall for that idiot but here I am blushing at everything he's ever said to me.

"So you're here too?" I ask Choji after spotting him in the hospital parking lot a few minutes ago."Yep. I came to check up on him. What are you doing here?" Him meaning Amir. It was after school and I decided to see how Amir was holding up.
"Same reason." I reply.
We both walk together to his room and make light knocks on his door. "Come in." A male voice said that clearly wasn't Amir. Me and Choji looked at each other. I dared him to open the door but he refused. "What if this is the wrong room?"
I rolled my eyes. He was such a scaredy Cat. I turn the handle and open the door. I peek in and see Amir's dad smiling at me. "Told you." I stuck out my tongue at him.
Choji straightened his posture as if he'd been cool the whole time. "I never said anything."
Me and him step in and Amir springs from his bed. The big smile on his face disappeared as soon as he lay his eyes on Choji. "You're here too?" He dived back into the bed his was on.
Amir's dad, who was relatively handsome for his age smiled and excused himself. He was dressed in a black tailored suit and his hair pulled back in a sleek style. He seemed like he had just got out of work.
"Hey how are you doing?" Choji said with his eyes on the ground.
"Fine." Amir said without looking at him either.
"You guys are pathetic." I say and a voice from behind agreed. I turned around to see Sameer barely walk in.
He greets us before waking past us and handing Amir a water bottle. "Thanks." Amir said before taking a sip and Sameer just nodded.
"So how are you holding up." I ask Amir. He looks up and smirks. "Worried about me this much?"
"He's such an idiot." Choji remarked and Amir instantly got angry.
