As Marinette watched the love of her life walk away from what just happened, she couldn't believe her eyes! She did all of that for him, to bring him back and save him, to be with him once again, but he, he just gave up, Marinette didn't give up, he was the love of her life, her everything! She couldn't just let that go.
Marinette grabbed her waist and gritted her teeth. She began to slowly stand up. Marinette staggered over to Adrien who was about to disappear. She reached out with a wobbly hand and began to cry, in pain.
"NO! I WON'T LET YOU JUST WALK AWAY!" Marinette yelled in pain and picked up his miraculous.
Adrien turned around at the sound and saw Marinette in pain. This made everything worse. He would not be able to live knowing he hurt the love of his life.
"Marinette." Adrien whispered as he lowered his head letting his golden hair fall on the sides of his face and covering his eyes. He started to walk towards Marinette as she closed her eyes and the tears kept coming.
"Please Mari, please stop crying." Adrien said pleadingly as he placed his hands on the sides of her shoulders.
"NO! WHY! WHY ADRIEN? DO U THINK IT IS OK FOR YOU TO JUST LEAVE ME LIKE THIS?" Marinette opened her eyes and now the tears were really coming out like a waterfall.
"No Marinette, I don't think that it is Ok. I mean, look at you, I did that to you. I.....I couldn't live with myself if I got to the point were......were i killed you Mari. What then?" Adrien was now deep in thought and a tear streamed down his cheek.
"Why? Why are you giving up now? Adrien, why now? After everything we have been through together. Tell me, why now?" Marinette looked deep into his emerald eyes and cupped his face.
"I......I don't know why. But I know that i can't hurt you ever again. That is why im staying away from being a hero. I don't want to hurt those I love. I'm sorry." And with that, Adrien held Marinette's face in his hands and tilted it forward. He kissed her on the forehead and began to walk away......again.
"You won't hurt me. I know you won't. Just please, please don't leave me!" By the time Marinette looked up, Adrien had already become a blur in the distance.
"ADRIEN!!!! PLEASE! (sobbing, crying, lots of emotion) PLEASE I'M BEGGING YOU!!!" Marinette realized it was no use. She put his ring in her pocket and took a big breath in......and began to run.......run to her love, run to the boy of her dreams, run to the one who made her happy, run to find true love once again.
Adrien heard her scream but didn't turn around, he just kept walking further and further away. He knew this wasn't the right choice, but what else could he do?
"ADRIEN!! PLEASE!! I.....I LOVE YOU!!!!"
Adrien stopped in his tracks and his eyes widened, with another tear rolling down his face as he realized that he loved her to much to leave. But it was for protection, he had to.
"(sniff) I.....I'm so sorry Marinette." He whispered and began to run as fast as he can.........to get away.
