In the mukbang society, balloons are known as money. Legit money. Money you can use to buy yourself a house or a Ferrari or just more food. its quite simple. The more balloons you earn, the more money you receive. So its always nice to thank whoever gives you balloons because they're literally giving you tons of money for eating in front of a camera.

Hyein and jin's plan are to actually get rank #1 on 'mukbangbang' because the higher rank you are , the more money you receive. But it looks like jin cares more about the balloons for now since they're not even close to rank #1.
