Once the realisation hit me I sank back onto the bed and promptly fell asleep...
4 hours later I was awake again and alone, the smell of breakfast invaded my nostrils and I grabbed a robe and made my way downstairs.
"Hi Holly"
"Ummm, Hi Miguel"
"You manage to get some sleep"
"Yes thanks, can I ask, is it true"
"Yes its true, Im sorry"
I sat down opposite him and ate a delicious breakfast and drank coffee....
My mind was in pieces, I had got blind drunk, taken drugs and got married to a man!
"This is a mistake, we can get this annulled??"
“Yes we can…..but it will take time…..Ive got business here in Vegas and tomorrow I am going to Abu Dhabi”
“When then?”
“Six weeks”
“Your joking?”
“No…..there are papers which we both signed…I think this little church hosts a lot of drunken marriages…..this will cost me a packet to undo”
"Im sorry Miguel, Im not getting what u mean"
“Im quite a wealthy man….and famous in my line of work”
“You need to explain better…..the hammering in my head is making it tough to work out”
“To annul this will cost me”
“So your saying I will get compensated for this?”
“Yeah”
“How much”
“To preserve my reputation…..at least $2,000,000”
“Your joking”
“I wish I was……if it gets out that I married……and used drugs….I would be finished…..I will pay you the money after the annulment”
“But wont it be broadcast…..people will find out”
“My brother can sort this out”
“And you will pay me for your mistake?”
“Holly….I trust you…..but unfortunately I need to protect myself just in case”
“What will the clause say”
“The usual….that you cant attempt to extort anything further from me….etc….if you tried then a court case would be raised…..it wouldn’t help me….but you would be jailed for extortion”
I was dumbfounded at all this….I couldn’t even begin to imagine what Debi would say.
“Do I tell her?”
“That’s up to you……but from what you have told me….the two of you have no secrets….I will remain in touch…..this may be sorted a lot quicker”
“And that was that?”
