The remainder of the holiday was sedate and I tried unsuccessfully to keep all this from Debi but when I did I cried buckets.
We fought, we argued, we laughed, we cried, we made love and for a short while it looked like we would be fine but I had a major problem, I was married to a man!!
Debi and I split up shortly after returning home and having realised the extent of the problems that this had all created, we had many magical years together but we didn't lose our friendship and that is still intact to this day.
I also didn't lose my friends through all this and gained a few others...Christina came to the UK to visit and brought Sarah with her. I also became good friends with Alyssia too.
In 2003, Tess and Taylor announced that after spending so long together they were planning on getting married, the laws on same-sex marriages in the USA were beginning to relax and so they planned a big church wedding in Vermont.
Jacqui and Jessica stayed together for 6 years from the date of the Vegas Holiday but gradually drifted apart especially when Jacqui began to return to her old ways. Jacqui is still my best friend and lives near to me too.
Lynette and Petra went back to Europe and my contact with them both gradually ceased..
Annulment
As promised Miguel arranged with his Brother to annul the marriage….I was also paid off.
An unexpected bonus.
I had to admit that the thrill of being married was exciting…..just with the wrong sex.
My life went on without Debi and I applied to continue my teaching….I went back to my old school.
I had no plans to move on….Debi had been my life but this wasn’t the end for either of us and there would be at least one more time that we would be together.
