I wrote a letter to C.J. today and I was hoping she'd write back. At mail call Lou and Ravi were surprised that I got a letter from C.J. , like jaws were hanging open catching flies. I told them about her and how we were going to keep writing to each other and meeting at the secret tree across the lake. I opened the letter and this is what C.J. wrote:
Dear Griff,
I want to know more about you like where you are from or what you do in your free time. Here I'll start,
My name is C.J. Martin.
I'm 12 years old.
I love animals.
I also like nice, kind, and honest people to be my friends.
There that should start you off.
I hope to here from you soon.

C.J.❤️
She is so amazing and we really hang out a lot and I like her. Writing with her has been great and I'm happy to have a pen pal to talk to.
