First day

The alarms goes off and I groan, I push the snooze button but I know I have to get up and get ready. It's the first day of my new school, for everyone else it's just a normal Monday but for me it's terrifying. As put on my black jeans, flannel, and sweaterI yawn, I put on my socks and boots and I go to Teddy's room.

" Morning Teddy"

"Morning" he says while rubbing his eyes

I help him get dressed, it's silent and all I can think about is Teddy going to school and not knowing what to do. Luckily his school starts before mine so I can walk him and take him to class.

" Sam "

" Yeah Bud what's up?"

" I'm scared"

"I know, me too"

" I hug him for as long as possible and my eyes begin to fill with tears. He's just a little boy, he needs me. But I can't go to school with him.

We eat breakfast and leave for school, it's about a 15 minute walk so I hold Teddy's hand and we walk to school. We walk in silence and we head inside, kids are everywhere running, walking, talking, laughing. We find his room and I kneel down in front of him.

" Okay Bud, be good alright. I will pick you up at 2:15 right in front of your class. Got it?"

" Got it Sam"

I hug him so tight for as long as I can

" I love you bud"

" love you too"

I let go and I wave goodbye. I begin to walk to school and my stomach is filled with butterflies. I walk in and I go to the front desk.

" Hi I'm Sam Davis and this is my first day"

" Well hello Sam I'm Mrs. Moore"

She has blonde curly hair and green eyes, I can already tell she is really nice.

" Well here is your schedule Sam, hope you have a great day" she says with a big smile.

I smiled back and leave. The halls are filled with students talking and laughing. The bell rings and everyone walks to class. I speed walk to find my class and I don't even know where I am. I have my head down looking at the room number again and I bump into someone.

" Oh my gosh I'm so sorry" I say as my cheeks are turning bright pink.

" It's alright... you seem lost. Is this your first day?" He looks me up and down with a smirk

I try to collect myself and I chuckle

" yes... yes it is. How'd you know?"

" I don't know just got a feeling"

It goes silent, I don't know what to say next.

" So what class are you trying to find?"

" Mr. Nelson room 603"

" Oh easy come with me"

I follow like a lost puppy as we go upstairs and he shows me the room

" Well here we are"

" Thank you so much....."

" Adam, Adam Collins" he says holding out his hand to shake mine.

" Sam, Sam Davis" I say while reaching out to shake is hand.

" Sam, nice to meet you Sam" he says with a low mysterious tone.
