Adam's Place

As Adam was driving up to Teddy and I my eyes filled with tears. I knew at that very moment Adam really did care about me. As he stopped the car he jumped out and ran up to me. Adam hugged me so tight his right arm was around my neck and his right was holding my head. I hugged him back, my arms wrapped around him. I began to cry into his neck. I was scared, scared that my mom will wake up the neck day and call the cops saying that Teddy and I went missing.

"Shhhh, it's okay. I'm here. Nobody is going to hurt you"

I cry even more. He is truly an amazing guy.

I hop in the front seat and Teddy hops in the back. As we drive off Adam reaches over to my seat and grabs my hand. I look over at him and he looks over at me for a split second then his eyes dart to the road. Adam knows that I need to stay with him, he knows that I am scared and sad, he knows that I need someone to hold me and tell me it's going to be okay. We arrive at Adam's house and he turns off the car.

"Okay so my parents are not home so I will let Teddy stay in the guest room and Sam you will have to sleep in my room"

I bite my lip

"When my parents come home we will tell them what happened. Okay?"

"Okay" I say nervously

As we head inside I want to cry, I can't stop thinking about how my mom threw glasses at me. My head is now throbbing. Adam shows Teddy the guest room and Adam and I head into his room. As he closes the door I turn around and begin to cry, he walks towards me and hold me again. We lay on the bed and he pulls me closer to him, I can hear his heart beating, I listen closely and begin to fall asleep.

"Sam" Adam says

I wake up

"Yeah?"

"Can you tell me what happened?"

I pull away from Adam and sit up.

"I wipe my tears away and take a breath

"My mom came home and said she had a rough day, she started to drink while I me and Teddy were upstairs and she yelled at me to come downstairs."

Adam looks at me concerned

"She started to yell at me and I yelled back and she threw the bottle of alcohol at me. I dodged it but not the seconded one. Then I called you"

"Oh my gosh Sam"

He pulls me in for another hug and this time my eyes are dry and I can't cry anymore.

10:00

We hear the door open.

"Adam? Are you home?"

"Yeah be down in a sec" he yells out

Adam looks at me and cups my face with his hands.

"You ready?"

"Yeah. I'm ready" I sign

As we head downstairs both his parents look at me with wide eyes.

"Sam?"Anne says

"Hi"

"Mom, Dad. I have something to tell you" Adam looks at me then his parents

I tell Adam's parents what happened and I almost cried but I pulled myself together.

"Oh my Sam. You are more than welcomed to stay here for as long as you want"Anne says looking at Dave

"Thank you both so much."

"Well you too should get to bed already. It's almost 11" Dave says looking at me and Adam

Adam takes me upstairs and I change into my pajamas. We cuddle under the sheets and I fall asleep into his arms. How long am I going to stay here? How am I going to face my mom later on? I stay up for hours thinking about so many things.

"Sam? Are you still up?"Adam says shifting.

"Yeah i'm still up"

"I really want to do what we did in the backseat of my car" He says pulling me closer

"Alright then"I say getting up
